SFC Belt Filter Press mechanism

Belt Filter Press is an industrial machine , used for solid/liquid separation processes, particularly the sludge dewatering in the chemical industry, mining and wastewater treatment

Belt filter presses are also used in the production of apple juice ,cider and winemaking. The process of filtration is primarily obtained by passing a pair of filtering cloths and belts through a system of rollers.

Belt Filter Press takes a sludge or slurry as a feed, and separates it into a filterate and a solid cake

1. Sludge pump into the mixing reaction tank, sufficiently stir and fully mixed with the polymer solution from polymer dosing system.

2. Sludge is rapidly flocculate into large particles by the fine particles, and large-group flocs formed into the network structure, then flow into the rotating pre-dehydration drum . 3.Most of the free water is released through the filter cloth of the drum . The effluent is collected by the filtrate tray and pre-separated from the solid sludge.

4. The pre-dewatered sludge is slid onto the upper filter belt and then transferred to the lower filter belt. Between the upper and lower filter belt, under the action of step-by-step pressure and shear force further dewatering sludge cake discharged.

Gravity Belt Thickening Belt Filter Press 1. Sludge pump into the mixing reaction tank, sufficiently stir and fully mixed with the polymer solution from polymer dosing system.

Belt Filter Press Superiority (SFC )

Superiority Power consumption : power requirement and greenhouse gas emissions, even including washwater booster pumps, are typically 20% ~30%of a centrifuge or other sludge dewatering unit .

Polymer rate : Offers the lowest possible polymer dosage rate.

Easy to control : The Belt Press filter is easy to control - operators can see the effect of the polymer and the process through the press. Even when enclosed, it is possible to open covers and observe when necessary.

Easy to maintain :The Belt Press is a very low speed device, (typically 3 to 10 rpm). The simple machine design makes it easy to maintain, so that even a small council workshop can do all maintenance that.

The Belt Press can never produce 'slops'. The cake formed by a belt press is always in a handleable state, due to the nature of the process. This ease of handling makes it better to transport or further dewater.

Enclosed :The Belt Press can be enclosed. It is not usual,but it is possible, to fit covers around all the zones of the machine of the Belt Press, so that it becomes enclosed to the same degree as a Centrifuge. Some designs are particularly suitable for enclosure, such as those with large solid steel frames, and a simple one level layout.Filtrate trays can be sealed.

Belt Filter Press (SFC )

Features of SFC Belt Filter Press No. 1 Belt position correcting system : automatic continuous detection, correcting deviation of belt cloth sothat the machine can run continuously and extend belt’s life.

No.2 Air pressure control device : the filter cloth tensioned by cylinder runs in its scope stably without leakage, high security.

No.3 Press roller: material adopt SUS304, TIG reinforced welding, machined by fine processing, enough strength.

No.4 Sludge distributor : The thickened sludge shall be distributed evenly on the upper belt to ensure the equal squeezing pressure, which will improve dewatering efficiency and extend the service life of belt cloth.

No.5 Belt cloth: imported from Sweden or Germany with the characteristics of nice water permeability, good durability and excellent corrosion resistance.

No. 6 Semi-centrifugal rotary drum thickening System : By action of positive rotation screen, massive supernatant free water can be removed. The concentration of sludge will up to 6%-9%.

No.7 Control Panel Cabinet: adopts international famous brand component such as Omron or Schneider. PLC adopts Siemens. Transducer adopts Delta or German ABB with the features of stable performance, easy operation and maintenance. Leakage protection is provided to make sure safe operation.

Metallurgical Industry WastewaterThe industrial wastewater specification is very complicated. Belt Filter Press is usually used in the final process and it could reduce the water content ,treat the wastewater from as low as 0.4 % to water content 75%~85%, reach the wastewater treatment process and reduce the sludge volume in order to transfer the sludge cake and clearance .
