House Connection Sewer.

"House connection sewer" means that portion of the horizontal piping which extends from the public sewer to the street property line or right-of-way (part).

Maintenance of Private Systems, Etc.

It shall be the responsibility of each property owner whose property is connected to the City sewer system to maintain continuously and satisfactorily in operation at his own expense, any house connection sewer. Failure to maintain such facilities shall be sufficient for immediate revocation of the person so failing and disconnection of his premises from the public sewer. (part)

This section explains when inspection is required; outlines the administrative process used to notify property owner of inspection requirement; and details the timeline for compliance. Ability to ensure proper installation, testing, and inspection of new and rehabilitated service laterals.
