Welcome to yet another edition of ‘Zephyr’. We are here once again to share an eternal relationship that has been nurtured through sweat and smiles. As you flip through the pages of this edition, you will feel proud of being a part of an institution where one’s skills are constantly honed. As it is rightly said, ‘Skill without exertion is of little avail, for the heart may conceive and the head may devise in vain, if the hands are not prompt enough to execute the design’. I really feel proud to observe the tenacity that my dear GD Salwanians have shown.Problems are part and parcel of such efforts. But, if you shake off your problems to stand again, then nothing can stop you. A short story will make my point clear. A man’s favourite donkey falls into a deep precipice. He can’t pull it out no matter how hard he tries. He, therefore, decides to bury it alive. Soil is poured onto the donkey from above. The donkey feels the load, shakes it off, and steps on it. More soil is poured. It shakes it off and steps up. By noon, the donkey is seen grazing in green pastures. So, the point is that after much shaking off (of problems) and stepping up (learning from them), one will graze in GREEN PASTURES. We, at GDSPS, take care of the holistic growth of the learners for we believe “Live as if you were to die tomorrow and learn as if you were to live forever.” This is the institution where even the teaching faculty tirelessly attempts to improve itself because we believe that perfection becomes sustainable by constant improvement. This attitude has helped GDSPS to gain such heights. I wish you all, to keep improving and progressing. Regards J.N. Chopra Zephyr
