An Inter- House Radio Show Competition was organized in December, 2016 for Classes IX-XI. The theme was‘DoingawaywiththeSchool-basedBoardExam.andNo-DetentionPolicytillClassVIIIwill improvetheAcademicStandards’.TheRadioShowwasorganizedtoenhancetheknowledgeofstudentsregardingthelatestamendmentsintheeducationandassessmentpoliciesbyCBSE.Participatingstudentsgatheredalotofinformationonthetopicandsharedtipstoovercometheirapprehensionaboutappearing in theBoardexams. Several debates, talk shows andpresentationswereorganizedby theschool inorder tomake theintricaciescrystalclear.Inthisregard,atalkshowwasconductedbythestudentsofclassXIB,todiscusstheon-goingissueof‘Demonetization’.Thestudentswereengagedindiscussionsandcounterdiscussionsandpresentedtheiropinionwithvehemenceandconviction.Itwasaninformativesession,whichhelpedthestudentsunderstandthestandtakenbytheGovernmentandRBI.

and claims, non-compliance of whichshouldbepenalized.Thelearningoutcomeswere shared withthe students by theteachers who hadparticipated in theworkshop.
Realeducationisaboutgenuineunderstandingandtheabilitytofigurethingsoutonyourown;notaboutmakingsurethateverychildhasmemorizedallthefactswhichsomebureaucratshaveputinthecurriculum.Withthisaim inmind, aWorkshoponSchool LeadershipwasorganizedbyIPN(IndianPrincipals’Network)on21stJanuary2017HotelRadissonBlu,Noida,whichwasattendedbyMs.DollyDhawanandMs.YojnaBablani,facultyGDSPS.Theobjectivewastofocusontheneedtoreformthecurriculum and reflect on guiding students towardsunderstandingandapplicationoffactsandnotlearningoffacts.ThekeynoteaddresswasgivenbyMr.AshokGanguly, former Chairman of CBSE. He stressedon the effectiveness of leadership to help createoutstandingschools.Learningshouldneitherbeboundbythewallsofaninstitution,norconfinedtothepagesoftextbooks.Infactitmustbeginwheretextbooksendand boundaries of school do not become barriers tolearning.

Neha:- RecentlyIrepresentedDelhiteamastheteamcaptaininU-19SchoolNationalCricketChampionshipheldin Ghuntoor and through the team effort we wereabletowinourfirstGoldatNationalGames.Ievenrepresented Delhi in U-19 and U-23 at the BCCIWomen’sZonalLeague.
