Faith Formation This week we have our parent meetings in Spanish for First Communion Wednesday, October 4 and Confirmation year 2 Thursday, October 5. The meetings will be held in room 4 at 6:00pm during class time. These meetings will be repeated in English on Wednesday, October 11 and Thursday, October 19. Parents with children doing First Communion in May 2018 should attend one of the Wednesday meetings and parents with children doing Confirmation in May 2018 should attend one of the Thursday meetings.

The Word of the Lord at Mass: Understanding the Lectionary for Lectors Discover the Lectionary: what it is, how it is designed, and how it works in harmony with the rhythms of the liturgical year. This workshop will give liturgical ministers (especially lectors and readers), and everyone else a deeper understanding of the book and its role in Mass. We will meet in Rm 5 in the school on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 6:30 pm.

Literary Genres in the Lectionary: Proclaiming the Different Forms of Scripture “The liturgical proclamation of the word of God… [is] a dialogue between God and his people.” (Dies Domini 41) The scriptures on Sunday contain poetry, stories, prophesies, and discourses. This workshop will assist the parish lector and reader identify ways to prepare and pray with their readings and proclaim them with conviction and a clear understanding. This 3rd final workshop will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 6:30 pm in Rm 5 of the school.

Sacrament Procedures

Baptisms: Pre-baptism Class is required before your date will be set. Please register two to three months in advance.

Weddings: Spiritual Preparation begins at least SIX months in advance. Do not make your reservations until you have met with the pastor.

Sacrament of the Sick: First Friday of the month at 7:30 am.

Communion Visits: Call the Parish Office.
