SEPSIS POSTER CONTESTRULES AND GUIDELINES

GENERAL INFORMATIONAn academic poster is a creatively displayed summary of your research about a particular subject. It should be a clear and logical presentation on a specific topic that connects with the viewers and enhances their understanding of the theme.

Make the display interesting by using graphics, figures or diagrams to illustrate ideas or findings. Colors always brighten a poster, but limit the number of colors and graphics so they do not make it difficult to read the text. Whenever possible, use computer-generated text in a common font that is easy to read. Peel-and-stick letters are an option for the title and subtitles.

THEME: SEPSISChoose any subject related to sepsis. Consider options such as identification of sepsis in patients, recognition of septic trends in a hospitalized patient (EWS/SOFA), treatment guidelines for sepsis (bundles), sepsis readmissions and mortality or post-sepsis syndrome. The choices are endless – just make sure the poster relates in some way to the theme.

POSTER SIZE: 36 x 48 inch trifold board (typical science project board)

RULES: • All entries must be the original work of the individual or departmental participants. • All entries must have a clear and easy to read title. • Appropriate references should be cited for any statistics or data obtained from another source. • Place name, hospital, unit and contact phone on the back of the poster board. • Posters will be judged based on the following criteria: Relevance to the theme Use of scientific data or research to support poster topic General appeal and creativity Use of required size display board • The Print Shop can support your project with boards and printing needs.
