Sketchbook assignments are your response to the given word or phrase. Media choice is up to you. Consider your pages’ composition carefully – please do not scribble on a page and say, “Well,

this was my response to the work ‘moody.’” 1 assignments are given each week for those taking the class for 1 credit; 2 are given to those who are taking the course for 2 credits. Each entry

is 15 points – 5p for completion , 5p for experimentation, 5p for craftsmanship. Collection times are posted below. Additional assignments are on the calendar.

**What’s a prepared surface?** (2 SB assignments require this this month)

- A prepared surface is one that has been watercolored on, collaged on, scribbled on, drawn on, etc. etc. Basically, it’s a NON-white surface. Refer

to the “Avoiding White Page Syndrome” WS that was given to you over the summer
