Sentences

Every sentence has a subject and a verb.

Some sentences also have an object.

Example: The Trojans fought the enemy.

A sentences is active when the subject of the sentences does the action.

Example: The enemy was defeatedby the Trojans.

Example

Mighty walls surrounded the city.

The city was surrounded by mighty walls

The white stallion was ridden by Emperor Caligula.

Emperor Caligula rode the white stallion.

Active

A sentence is active when the subject of the sentence does the action.

Passive

A sentence is passive when the subject of the sentence has the action done to it.
