December 3, 1993, this the date I was born. I could say that was a wonderful day

because my mother had given me birth. I don’t know what happen after that day but I do

know one thing my mother wasn’t with me three days after. I grew up on my own just with

my grandmother’s support and company. My grandmother is the most important person in

my life, she is more than a grandmother, and I consider her my mom. She was the only

person that was there on my side whenever I needed her. Whenever I needed her, she was

there. My life has been so complicate, but I have always count on my grandmother’s support.

My grandma has always been there for me in the hard and the good times, I never had

someone special like her. I love her so much that I could give my life for her I will but that is

not possible any more he past away when I had just turned 13. That was the worst day ever I

felt that all my support has been lost in the way that I was on my own in the rest of my way.

I asked my self once: what did she leave me? Why the she left without preparing me for the

future? I have asked myself this questions a million times and it just seem to be no answer

for this.

Josefina Zarate the most wonderful woman in this world, the woman who

knowing that she didn’t had to take care of me, she did. The woman who having 5 grand-

daughters she still took me into her house. The women who just being my grandmother she

gave me all the love I needed. I will be thankful to her because hours before her death she got

up the bed and gave me a kiss in my forehead and told me I was her proud. The last night I

spend with her February 2, 2007.

Her death was a big impact in my life because she made promised her that I was

going to prove my family wrong of what they think about me. She also, made me promised

her that my goals were going to be above all the persons that didn’t want me to success in

life. With her death all my life changed, my uncle brought me to a totally different world I

wasn’t preparing for. This change made me saw that my grandma’ was going to be on my

side forever. Today I am a wonderful woman just like my grandmother wanted; she is the

reason why I fight everyday to get my goals complete. Ill say thank you to my grandma

because she has never left me behind, I feel her seating besides me helping me taking the

decisions am taking today. Decisions, that the most important person in my life is helping me

take.
