Introduction

Established in 2012, Sengkhona Training & Develpment is accredited by the

Transport Education Training Authority of South Africa (TETA) and all our

courses are designed and executed according to the standards required by Driven

Machinery Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993

(OHSA).

Accreditation is a process in which certification of competency, authority, or

credibility is presented. The accreditation process ensures that our certification

practices are acceptable and legal, typically meaning that Seng'khona Training

is competent to test and certify. All assessors and moderators are registered and

accredited for the relevant unit standards as set out by TETA.

We are situated in SPRINGS, Gauteng, South Africa. We offer on - site training at

very competitive rates and hire training venues for all our offsite training.

Sengkhona Training & Development is committed to the establishment,

implementation and maintenance of a formally documented Quality Management

System, which includes visible and auditable Policies, Standard Operating

Seng'khona Training is focused on providing accredited training. Each learner is

given individual attention to be able to get value from the training content

presented. On -site training, is conducted by a registered facilitator to mentor and

guide all the learners according to unit standard. Our facilitators use different types

of training tools to make the learning experience interesting in order to maximize

memory retention and ensure that training and learning are memorable. We give our

clients what they need, not just another generic training program.

MEDICAL FITNESS:

In terms Of Government Gazette (18 Feb 20005 no 27292) Learner Entrance

Conditions are required before the training commence.

2. Physical and Psychological Fitness

3. Has undergone to an optometrist and have day & night vision. Depth

perception or Professional drivers permit can also be accepted in lieu of the

optometrist.

As an extension of Sengkhona Training and Development, STD now brings with

it the added advantage of an innovative HSE Consultation Division. The

Consultation Divisions core business is that of Occupational Health and Safety

Act compliance.

The alarming increase in litigation and fines against organizations, which have

not complied with the Act; have resulted in higher volumes of insurance claims,

and premiums. The risks and direct costs of those risks are far from negligible.

In order to ensure that high safety standards and cost effective production are

maintained, an effective Risk Control Management process, individually tailored

to a specific industry/company’s profile, is needed.

Consultation Division has meticulously researched an effective Risk Control

formula, which will effectively reduce the risk, involved in effective personnel

management. Consultation Division offers two primary services, the first being

the Risk Consultancy which assists with specific areas of concern within an

organization. The second is a Monthly Consultation Package which essentially

incorporates STD into the organizations’ existing safety program or

alternatively introduces a Safety Management Program into an environment

that does not have one.

We offer a number of Monthly Consultation packages for clients who feel that

Sengkhona Training & Development also provides a mobile Occupational

Health Medicals Surveillance service, enabling a Medical Certificate of Fitness

to be issued for an employee. All services are conducted in accordance with the

OHS Act 85 0f 1993 and are carried out by experienced, qualified and certified

Occupational Health Practitioners, registered with the South African Nursing Council

(SANC)and the South African Society of Occupational Health Nursing Practitioners

(SASOHN).

Administrative Procedures

Quotations

All quotations submitted are tailored to suit each Client’s special needs and

requirements (on site, after hrs. weekends, rental of equipment etc.). The

quotation is valid for 15 days from date of issue.

Bookings

All training booked is confirmed via a booking confirmation which is completed

by your sales consulted and forwarded to you for confirmation, once signed and

returned a VAT invoice will be issued immediately.

Cancellations

Cancellations or postponements of training must be received in writing 5

working days prior to the training course. A cancellation or postponement fee

of 100% will be levied should written cancellation not be received.

Invoicing:

An invoice is issued upon receipt of the booking confirmation. Said invoice is

forwarded immediately thus negating payment.

Payment:

Payment secures the delegates position in a particular course.

Certificates:

These are issued within a week after completion of training to successful

delegates, subject to payment having been received.

Claims – SETA According to the TRANSPORT SETA (TETA) you are entitled to claim for

training undertaken, through Sengkhona training Services. Should you need
