DESCRIPTION

A new product by StroNGER, currently under development in collaboration with ESA: an advanced sensor for the optimum energy management in building HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Condition) systems. Essentially, PiezoTSensor consists in an Energy Harvesting (EH) device that uses a piezoelectric bender and an appropriate customizable aerodynamic fin that takes advantage of specific air flow effects (principally Vortex Shedding) for producing energy. The sensor is completed with a temperature probe.

PiezoTSensor - Unique Selling Proposition

• PiezoTSensor harvests a higher amount

of energy from air flow, and thus has a

higher autonomy, something that can

lead to a higher sampling rate.

• PiezoTSensor generates energy from an

intrinsic characteristic of HVAC

systems (the air flow inside the ducts),

achieving an optimal integration.
