PRAYER:
We ask that you be with us at this rodeo, and we · pray
that you wkll guide us in the arena of life. We don't
ask for special favors; we don't afk to draw an aU-day.
horse or to never break a barrier; nor do we ask for
lightweights nor to draw a steer that won't lay. Help
us, Lord, to live our lives insuch a manner that when
we make that last inevitable ride to the country up
there where the grass grows lush, green and stirrup-
high, that you, as our last judge, will tell us our entry
fees are payed. Amen

Ther's more original American values inthe sport of
rodeo than in anything else I know of. You're strictly
on your own and you pay all of your own expenses as
an individual and uh, you're completely on your own in
what you win, if you don't win anything at that pa:rti~ula :
rodeo, you get nothing, no pay whatsoever for appeari.Jl
before the public at that performance. So if you don't
draw good, of if you don't ride good, or make a good
run or whatever, you win absolutely nothing, so that
a lot depends on how much you try, you have yourself .
and uh, its very demanding.

It takes muscles and balance to ride wild horses---it
takes what cowboys call "try". But it takes smre thing
