Market Outlook

The Malaysian government iscommitted to providing the highestquality of education to its students. This can be seen in the variousinitiatives it has introduced toproduce holistic graduates with abalance of academic knowledge andindustrial experience. Preparing thestudents for workplace has been andwill also be given an even greateremphasis by SEGi in the comingyears.

Some of the initiatives by thegovernment include 2u2i (study fortwo years and intern for another twoyears), and the CEO @ FacultyProgramme and APEL (Accreditationof Prior Experiential Learning). SEGihas participated in some of theseinitiatives and we believe that they will enhance the quality ofeducation and enrolment for SEGi.

Another signficant focus under thegovernment initiatives is the movetowards online learning. Malaysiaonline education is expected toproject a strong compound annualgrowth rate of 16.4% over theforecast period from 2016 to 2023.This is attributed to the initiatives by the government and the smartphone and tablet users in the country. In line with thisinitiative, SEGi has also established on online learning platform, PACE(Professional and ContinuingEducation) which should see furthergrowth in near future.
