INTERNSHIP PROCESS – TIMELINE OVERVIEW
WHO WHAT WHEN Advisory Board Members Assigned as Mentors to Students. Plan to meet up to 4 times during September the school year Internship Committee Schedule meeting with Juniors to review intern process including September activities such as resume writing and interview skill development, meetings with Advisory Board Mentors and review of the Student Packet Advisory Board Members Continue to identify/solicit internship locations Sept/On-going Business Faculty/Internship Committee Schedule resume writing sessions Nov – Dec Business Faculty/Internship Committee Schedule interviewing skills development sessions Jan – Feb Advisory Board/Internship Committee Arrange “Meet & Greet” sessions with prospective employers Feb – Mar Internship Committee/Business Faculty Initiate intern interview schedule with prospective employers. Mar/On going Process will continue until all students placed. Students and employers will evaluate the selection process. Internship Committee will record all interview activity and will advise both students and employers of final selection/placement. Students Be introduced to and meet with Advisory Board Mentor. Attend Sep/On-going
resume writing and interview skill development training. Participate in Employer “Meet & Greet” session. Interview prospective employers for Internship position. Experience your internship. Evaluate your internship and the internship placement process.
Internship Committee Conduct assessment of internship with the students and employers July - Aug
during the summer with final report to be included with official documentation for program.
