The Vehicle Section includes the VIN and general auto information such as year, make, model and desired coverage. A selection box is available for a VIN Override if necessary. Three additional areas are displayed on the Vehicle Information Section, Garaging, Lienholder/Additional Interest, and Vehicle History. The Garaging area is displayed as part of the vehicle information and the other areas can be accessed by clicking on the tab. All areas require user input.

SECTION: Vehicle(s) Information In this section, you will enter information about each insured vehicle.

The Vehicle Section includes the VIN and general auto information such as year, make, model and desired coverage. A selection box is available for a VIN Override if necessary. Three additional areas are displayed on the Vehicle Information Section, Garaging, Lienholder/Additional Interest, and Vehicle History. The Garaging area is displayed as part of the vehicle information and the other areas can be accessed by clicking on the tab. All areas require user input.

Entering Vehicle Information VEHICLE SPECIFICS section provides details for the insured vehicle. You are able to add multiple vehicles on a policy.

1. The Zip box is prefilled based on the data entered in the General Information section of the Quote Page.

2. Enter a valid VIN in the VIN field. After you have entered a valid VIN, the Vehicle Year,

Make, Model and Style will automatically populate when you make your next selection.

*If the VIN entered is incorrect, either (A.) an error message will appear

or (B.) a window with VIN suggestions will pop up.

A. If the error message appears, an

invalid VIN was entered (or the vehicle year is prior to 1981). a) Select ‘OK’.

b) Review the VIN you entered and make any corrections in the VIN field. After making the corrections, if the vehicle fields (year, make, model and style) do not populate, you will use the ‘VIN Override’ option by clicking on the box.

c) After you click ‘VIN Override’, a confirmation message will appear. • Click ‘YES’ to proceed with

VIN Override, OR

• Click ‘NO’ to cancel this process.

d) If you selected ‘Yes’ for the VIN Override, you must enter the information manually using the field dropdowns.

• Select the Year the vehicle was built.

• Select the Make of the vehicle.

(For some models such as SUV’s, you will choose the selection with ‘TRUCK’ in the title, e.g,. FORD TRUCK for an Explorer instead of FORD.)

• Select the Model of the vehicle.

• Select the Style of the vehicle.

e) If you selected ‘No’ on the VIN Override confirmation pop up, you will be returned to the VIN section to input another VIN.

B. If the Vin Verification window appears, select the correct VIN from the suggested

options or select the Manually Entered VIN option to return to the vehicle section.

• Then click ‘OK’. COVERAGE INFORMATION section allows you to identify the specific coverage desired by the applicant.

NOTE: Selections and Options available are state-specific for each coverage.

Texas Products: MG/EP, MG/EN

• For each coverage, choose the applicants desired coverage from the dropdown. See the following information for the specific fields available by state and product.

Coverage explanations and options are:

COMP = Comprehensive coverage. Select the desired amount of coverage.

MG/EP Options: No Coverage (default), $250, $500, $1000

COLL = Collision coverage. Select the desired amount of coverage

MG/EP Options: No Coverage (default), $250, $500, $1000

RENTAL = Rental car coverage in case of an accident.

MG/EP Options: N/A (default), 20, 30, 40

TOWING = Towing coverage. Select the option the applicant chooses.

MG/EP Options: N/A (default), 40, 75, 100

ADD’L EQUIP = Additional Equipment (not factory installed). This is coverage for any additional equipment on the vehicle not factory installed (such as stereo system, navigation system).

MG/EP Options: Enter the dollar amount (default 0.00) of any additional equipment on the vehicle.

USE = Description of the uses for the vehicle. How is this vehicle used?

MG/EP Options: Pleasure (default), To and from Work, To and from School and Business Use

LOSS PAYEE = Lien Holder. Is there a lien holder on this vehicle?

MG/EP Options: No (default), Yes

GARAGING INFORMATION tab is used to identify the address where the vehicle resides. NOTE: This tab is prefilled with the applicant’s address from the General Information section. If the vehicle is garaged at a different location, you will need to modify the address.

1. If the vehicle is garaged at a different location, you must click on the ‘Same as Mailing?’ box to remove the checkmark.

2. When the checkmark is gone, the fields become available for you to update with the address where the vehicle is garaged.

LIENHOLDER/ADDITIONAL INTEREST PAYEE INFORMATION tab is used when the vehicle is financed. Information for the lien holder is entered on this tab.

NOTE: The ‘Loss Payee’ box in the coverage section should be selected as Yes.

1. Enter the following information for

the vehicle lien holder in the Lienholder/Additional Interest tab:

a. Name b. Address c. City d. State e. Zip

2. Confirm the Yes field is selected for the Loss Payee in the Coverage section.

VEHICLE HISTORY INFORMATION tab is for the required questions. In order to provide a rate, these questions must be answered.

• Select the applicable answer in the drop down for each of the questions.

NOTE: If a valid VIN is entered, a Loss History report will complete these questions.

1. Use the drop down to change the default. Options are: Question 1 Response Options:

Not registered in my name 0 – 30 days 31 days – 6 months 6 months – 1 year 1 – 1 ½ years 1 ½ – 2 years 2 – 3 years 3 - 5 years 5 years or more (default) Unknown

Question 2 Response Options:

Unknown No Yes (default)

ADDITIONAL VEHICLE button allows you to add other vehicles (2nd, 3rd, or 4th vehicles, etc.). Follow the same steps defined above for each additional vehicle added to the policy.

1. To add an additional vehicle to the policy, click the ‘Add Vehicle’ button.

2. You will enter the information for the additional vehicles just as you did for Vehicle 1.

DELETE VEHICLE button allows you to delete the vehicle, removing it from the quote.
