    A direct introduction The school bell rang. The pupils rushed out of their classrooms.

    Andy also rushed out of his classroom. He ran to the bicycle shed to gethis bicycle.

    Tired and hungry, Andy started cycling home from school. .. A flashback introduction Andy was sitting on the sofa. He was sick and miserable. He had a

    terrible headache. He wished he had listened to his mother. She toldhim to bring his raincoat but he did not listen.

    Tired and hungry, Andy started cycling home from school.His house was 4 kilometers away. He was worried because the sky

    was getting dark. There were big dark clouds in the sky. He knew itwould rain very soon.

    Andy had another reason to be worried. He has forgotten tobring his raincoat.

    Oh dear, how careless of me! he said angrily to himself. Then it started to rain. Soon it was raining cats and dogs.Andys

    clothes and bag gotverywet.Andy cycledas fast as he could. He

    was cold and shivering. He was afraidbecause he had never cycledin the heavy rain. He wanted to cry.

    At last he reached home. His worried mother was waiting forhim. He rushed into the house. He was feeling sick. However, he was

    grateful to reach home safely.

    Go! Quickly take your bath! she told him. After his bath, Andys mother covered him with a warm

    blanket. She gave him a mug of hot milk. Andy felt warm and safe. Thanks, mum, he said gratefully.
