Spelling TestsSpelling Tests• A spelling test will be given every Friday.

• Words will be glued in the Oak Agenda

each week. • 10 words and 1 sentence to study…

assessment on 15 words and 2 sentences to show application and knowledge of phonics.

MathBy the end of Second Grade, students need to have their math facts memorized to 20.

Xtra Math is a great way to practice math fact fluency on the computer here at

school and at home.

Students are challenged to memorize the facts as they race against the online teacher to solve math fact equations.

• Graded papers will come home each week. • Please sign and return the folder AND the papers

to your child’s class.• Please return all of the GRADED papers unless

otherwise notified.

Interim reports are sent to you midway through the

9-week period to inform you of your child’s

progress.

• At the end of the day, your child will record his or her conduct in their Oak Agenda.

• We ask that you initial the agenda daily.

Students must go home the same way each day unless a note is sent to school.

Be sure to inform the office as well as the teacher of a difference in transportation.

AbsencesAbsences If your child is absent, please

send a note on the day they return !

Attendance is important…please have your child here on time ready to go…we start reading

instruction right away

MedicationMedication• Please fill out a form and leave any

medication in the office.

• Inhalers must be kept in the school

office and cough drops are not allowed

in class.

• Any allergies should be brought to the

attention of the teacher.

Birthday TreatsBirthday TreatsYou are welcome to send pencils,

stickers, or erasers to celebrate your child’s special day this year.

No food items brought to school.
