On Wednesday 22nd March everyone came to school dressed as their favourite book character for our ‘Once Upon A Time’ day.

Our children always excel themselves when asked to participate in school activities – and today was no exception. Visiting us today was The Queen of Hearts, Captain America,

Hermione Granger, Batman, Cat in a Hat, Peter Pan, Oompa Loompa and many more fantastic characters.

In the afternoon, parents to joined us for a

special performance of some of our best loved tales.

Pre-School teamed up with Seagry Class to share their wonderful version of ‘Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf’.

Our little lady in red took the lead role as Seagry Class presented ‘Little Red Riding Hood’

Corston Class delighted everyone as they took the stage and performed a Latin version of Goldilocks and the Three Bears followed by Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhyme version of Snow White.

When little Snow-White’s mother diedThe King, her father, up and cried“Oh, what a nuisance! What a life! Now I must find another wife.”

This was a mirror framed in brassA MAGIC TALKING LOOKING GLASSAsk it something day or nightIt always got the answer rightFor instance, if you were to say“Oh Mirror, what’s for lunch today?”The thing would answer in a trice“Today it’s scrambled eggs and rice.”

The Queen went absolutely wildShe yelled, “I’m going to scrag that child.”“I’ll cook her flaming goose, I’ll skin herI’ll have her rotten guts for dinner.”

As part of the activities for the day, everyone brought in cakes and cookies, which they had decorated at home, in preparation for our Mad Hatter’s Bake Off and our Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

Choosing the winners was not an easy task as we had some

amazing cake and cookie creations.

Congratulations to Zoe, who took first prize in KS2 for her magnificent Mad Hatter’s Cake.

This was closely followed by Freddie’s cake in second place for KS2.

In KS1, Lexi took first prize with her imaginative display of clever cupcakes.

Matthew’s Mad Hatter’s cake was a very close contender in the KS1 competition. Matthew won the second prize.

Congratulations to everyone who took part. All of the cakes looked amazing and according to several comments,

they also tasted super delicious.

Thank you to everyone who helped support today.
