Monday, April 23, 2012 Spring Conference Special Guest Speaker: Brenda Gorsuch Brenda Gorsuch advises the Wingspan newspaper and Westwind yearbook at West Henderson HS (N.C.). Both publications have received the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold Crown and Southern Interscholastic Press Association Scroggins Awards. Gorsuch was named the 2005 Dow Jones Newspaper Fund National High School Journalism Teacher of the Year. She has received many other awards, including SIPA’s Distinguished Service Award and CSPA’s Gold Key.
