ABOUT:Established in 2003, Shakti Cords Pvt. Ltd., manufactures dipped cords for V-Belts & yarns for hoses. All activities like twisting, rewinding, multiple stage dipping are done in house. The total capacity of this unit is 1740 tonnes p.a. for single dipped cords & 300 tonnes p.a for dipped braiding yarns. We have established a leading presence in the domestic market.

HISTORY:The group is engaged in manufacturing fabrics since 1987. In 1991 it diversified into manufacturing industrial fabrics for reinforcement of rubber products. This was supported later by adding a spinning unit to manufacture the required yarns of high tenacity. Right from fibre to fabric all the production and testing facilities are inhouse.

In 2003, the group took over the business of single dipped cords for V Belts and Hose yarns from Madura Industrial Textiles, to serve the existing customers of jacketing fabric with dipped cords. The group holds a majority share of the Indian market in the jacketing fabrics and dipped single yarns and cords. It has established itself as a reliable source for multinationals. This has been achieved by consistent innovation and tight quality parameters and reliability of all aspects.

Dipped cords and yarns of Polyester/ Rayon/ Aramids/ PVA for V-Belt application and pressurized hoses. Manufactured from high modulus, low shrinkage filament yarn with multiple stage twisting.

● Stiff cords: From 3000 – 27000 denier (and above) – On metal spool 8 12kgs in weight, can be customized as per requirement

● Semi Stiff Cords: From 3000 – 45000 denier, have better adhesion and stiffness, on metal spool 8-12kgs in weight, can be customized as per requirement

● Soft Cords: From 3000 – 45000 denier, cardboard tube packages with weight 58 kgs, multistage dipping process ensures stability, can be customized as per requirement

● Braiding Yarns: Dipped or undipped, multiple parallel wound, twisted yarns of any dernier, in large packages, can be customized as per requirement.

INNOVATION AND DEVELOPMENT

● Developed polyester dipped cords meant for Transmission belt production with ultra soft to Superior Stiff finish in 1x3 to 9x6 constructions, by establishing necessary infrastructure to wind with constant yarn tension both in cheese and bobbin form.

● Developed hard stone built, precision wound cheeses for Aramide twisted yarn, dipped polyester, PVA, Rayon yarn for braiding application with state of art winders to run at higher speed in braiding machine.

● Established necessary resources for dipped Aramide V-Belt soft cord in 1670/2x3 and 1670/3x4 constructions.

● Incorporated PID controlled values in heating zones to get precise temperature, Tension control and reduce variation in physical properties.

● Online monitoring of process is done through SCADA.

● Incorporation of UPS and Automation are done to avoid human error in the establishmentof consistency in Quality.

ABOUT:The unit manufactures Jacketing fabrics for V-belts and other Industrial fabrics for reinforcement, impression, backing etc. From fibre to fabric all the production facilities are in house - giving advantages of quality control, flexibility, cost reduction.

The annual capacity of the unit is 8.8 million sq.mts of fabric produced from autoshuttle looms, projectile and air jet looms.

With the addition of Dipped cords to our product range through our group company Shakti Cords pvt. Ltd., we have established ourselves as a major supplier of fabrics and cords to the V-Belt industry and Dipped yarn/undipped yarn to the hose industry.
