TOM HERMAN, UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON Tom is one of the hottest young coaches in the nation having led his Houston Cougars into National Championship contention with less than 2 years of HC experience anywhere. He went 13-1 in 2015 in his 1st Cougar season finishing #8 in the nation after defeating FSU in the Peach Bowl. Then Houston routed #3 Oklahoma to open the season this year. Prior to his arrival at Houston, he helped develop record-setting and explosive offenses in each of his 10 seasons as an OC, including three

seasons as OC and QB’s coach at Ohio State where he helped the Buckeyes win the 2015 College Football Championship. Herman previously spent three years as the OC and QB’s coach at Iowa State. Herman coached offenses at Rice, Texas State, Sam Houston, Texas and Texas Lutheran. He will speak on “Shotgun Play Action and QB Runs” on Friday night.

JIMBO FISHER, FLORIDA STATE In his 4th year as head coach at FSU in 2013, Fisher planted the Seminoles back at the top of the college football world, leading Florida State to a 14-0 mark en route to the final national championship of the BCS era. FSU has built on that success in the seasons since. Fisher enters his seventh season with a 68-14 record, including four bowl wins and three ACC Championships. His winning percentage is the second-best in the nation among active coaches. He has tutored three first-round

NFL draft picks at the position while at FSU. The 2015 season culminated with a fourth consecutive BCS or “New Years Six” Bowl appearance for the Seminoles – an unprecedented feat matched only by Alabama. He served as an offensive assistant at Auburn, Cincinnati and LSU before coming to FSU as OC in 2007. He will speak Friday night on the “FSU Offense”.

CHARLIE STRONG, TEXAS A two-time conference coach of the year and the architect of a revitalized University of Louisville program that posted at least 11 wins in each of his final two seasons, Charlie Strong is in his third year as the Texas head coach. Strong the 29th head coach in UT history, spent the previous four seasons as Louisville head coach. During his final two years, Louisville was the nation’s fourth-winningest program, posting a 23-3 record. The Longhorns bring back 14 starters from a 2015 team that posted

upsets of No. 4 Oklahoma and No. 13 Baylor last season and they opened the 2016 season with an impressive victory over Notre Dame. Prior to Louisville, Strong served 11 seasons as a defensive coordinator in the SEC at Florida and South Carolina and four years as an assistant coach at Notre Dame. He will speak on “Philosophies and Fundamentals of a Winning Defense” on Saturday.

WILLIE FRITZ, TULANE This year Fritz becomes the 40th head football coach in the 121-year history of Tulane football program. With 193 career victories, Fritz is currently the fourth active winningest HC among coaches in the Football Bowl Subdivision. He was also twice named the national coach of the year, including AFCA FCS Coach of the Year in 2011 and the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year in 2012. Fritz, 55, comes to Tulane from Georgia Southern where he spent two seasons while leading the nation in rushing both years. He served

as head coach at Sam Houston State from 2010-13 where he led the team to back to back Southland Conference titles. He previously coached at Blinn College, Central Missouri, Coffeyville JC and HS in Kansas and Texas. He will speak on the “Greenwave Tackling & Special Teams Drills” on Saturday.

MIKE MACINTYRE, COLORADO As Mike MacIntyre entered his fourth season as head coach at the University of Colorado this fall, his Buffalos got off to the teams best start in many years with 5 wins in their 1st 6 games. The victories included PAC 12 wins over Oregon, Oregon State and UCLA. The only loss was a hard fought 45-28 game to the highly ranked Michigan Wolverines. MacIntyre has spent six seasons as a collegiate head coach. He coached San Jose State to a 10-2 record in 2012, with a final regular season ranking of No. 24 in

the final BCS Standings. MacIntyre arrived at San Jose State after two years as the DC at Duke University. He spent five seasons in the NFL coaching defensive backs after coaching at Ole’ Miss for 4 years. He will speak on “Defensive Pressures & Man Coverage“ on Saturday night.
