Using this link has earned more than $400 for Lakeshore enrichment programs since August. As we gear up for the holidays to purchase gifts and other items for entertaining, don’t forget to use the link which gets the most for Lakeshore (this is different than the Smile program which delivers only a fraction of the income). Give this link to friends and family – they can raise money for our students just by doing their regular shopping!

Thank You Corner: Greening Day It was all hands on deck Saturday, November 7th at Lakeshore Elementary School! A special thanks to all the volunteers: friends, families, teachers, staff, and youth of both Lakeshore Elementary and Lowell High School! Our sincerest gratitude to gardening instructors Martha Luna and Jean Butler for coordinating this massive event which included multiple community groups and more than 100 Lowell High School students. Lakeshore has been beautified with the various greening projects that took place. It takes a village. We are so thankful you all are a part of ours.

Walk-a-Thon Reward: Student vs. Teacher Kickball Game Friday, November 13 was a lucky day for Lakeshore Leopards who had a chance to participate in one of the most fun Walk-a-Thon rewards – Student vs. Teacher Kickball Game. Two students chosen from each class team up against the teachers and staff who fielded a mighty team but according to student observers, were unable to vanquish the sheer power and determination of the Little Leopards. Rumor has it the score ended with Students at 23 and Teachers at 15. The crowd cheered on their friends and teachers on the beautiful, sunny day. Play had to be delayed for equipment retrieval after Mr. Hartford’s power kick which launched both the ball and his shoe into the air. It was neck-and-neck with the winner uncertain until the Students loaded the bases and enjoyed a series of outless ups bringing in multiple runs. The best part of the event was the incredible sportsmanship demonstrated by the student players, teachers, and crowd. Everyone supported each other and focused on having a great time.
