Learning Beyond the Classroom• Grade 10 national and international work experience (3 weeks in June).

• Community Service is an important part of the curriculum at MIS.

• MIS students support many projects locally and around the world, such as our Tanzania programme, UNICEF, and local refugees.

• We offer over 100 After School Activities for students from Junior School through Grade 12: Performing Arts, Speech and Debate, Model United Nations and Sports.

Curriculum Highlights• Most MIS students pursue the full IB Diploma. Some students opt instead to take

certificates in IB subjects. All MIS students receive the MIS Diploma.

• All IB Diploma candidates complete an Extended Essay research paper in Grade 12.

• All Grade 10 students register for the IB MYP eAssessment and online portfolios.

• IB courses in Geography include a significant historical emphasis. Although a transcript may not list specific history classes, students have covered considerable global history content within the framework of Geography courses.
