i. Notes to be resent for review and approved at the 6/3 for approval VII. Reports:
a. Faculty Senate i. Faculty salary policy and plans
1. There were concerns and objections raised 2. Revisions are needed to add more flexibility
ii. Faculty will be polled in the spring to decide what will be worked on during the summer.
b. Faculty Assembly EC i. Faculty Assembly EC met with Chancellor Pagano. ii. The Executive Team will be formed by representatives of university. iii. There is a concern that the faculty is the minority as it includes staff and
students. iv. The Chair and Vice Chair negotiated v. New agenda to discuss
1. Vision of freshmen core programs 2. There is a chance to talk to search committee for president on May 11
and there will be a Catalyst survey sent as well. 3. There is a proposal to bring internships under administration to establish
consultation 4. Representatives of Chancellor Cabinet will be a small group discussing
issues across campus. The Chair and Vice Chair will be appointed to provide consistency.

1. Areas of knowledge – attachment b a. The document was uploaded b. The history and the decision by Faculty Council for Option B was
highlights. 2. Campus committees nominations 3. The reconfiguration of CAC was discussed. 4. Voting on hires issues
a. More faculty meetings have been added during hiring season. b. Another option for discussion in the future is to shorten voting
period. VIII. IAS Updates
a. Mission Vision Values (MVV) i. Schedule is set and meetings have kicked off with the divisions ii. Information was or will be gathered about personal values and vision and then
checked again the current statement. iii. Strategic Plan will be reviewed at a later date. iv. A Catalyst site will be available with more information. v. The MVV will be discussed and finalized during the retreat in September.
b. Updates – See Attachment A i. Merit
1. The following suggestions were made: a. Add * for those nominated for extra merit b. Open the Catalyst pages to all so that materials may be double
checked 2. After the vote, the Dean will meet with Faculty Council to review salaries,
equity and compression. Faculty Council will provide an advisory recommendation.
