At Maroochydore State High School students will undertake student centred programs dedicated to enhancing specific industry knowledge, practical and personal skills, at a pace that ensures school attendance, engagement and confidence. WHY STUDY THIS WAY? All our qualifications are nationally recognised and comply with the Australian Qualifications Framework. All certificate courses have been identified by the Australian Government and local Sunshine Coast Region as critical first steps in supporting youth in the current National Workforce Development Strategy. Students commencing nationally recognised industry qualifications whilst at school are more successfully able to transition to pathways such as apprenticeships and traineeships, full time employment or further training/ study once school is completed. HOW WILL IT WORK? Students completing Vocational Education study will be required to study Maths and English in addition to their selected industry courses. Students may be also required to participate in work placement related to their chosen industry area.
