Activity Suggested Time Materials Preparation Introduction to activity 5 minutes Graph Theory Worksheet (can be downloaded at the website) Hand out worksheet and have students read through instructions. Mention that this is a branch of mathematics that people study. Work on Graph 20 minutes Have students work on the worksheets independently and help those who struggle with the concept. Discussion 10 minutes Board space to write discussion See below Terminology 20 minutes Paper/Journal See below Wrap Up 5 minutes Collect material. The students just got a taste of graph theory! This type of graph consists of vertices and edges. Vertices are objects (in our case the words) and edges are the lines that connects the vertices. Two graphs are isomorphic if the vertices and edges are the same. In other words, if two vertices are joined by an edge, then the other graph should have exactly that as well.
