Michelle Cheramy, flute, holds degrees in performance from Indiana University and the University of British Columbia. After completing her studies, she spent a season with the ~

Thunder Bay Symphony before joining the faculty at Memorial. She has appeared in solo and chamber music concerts throughout Canada and in the United States, including concerto performances with orchestras in British Columbia and Indiana. She has also been broadcast on CBC and National Public Radio.

Nancy Dahn, violin, studied at the New England Conservatory, The Juilliard School, and the Oeveland Institute of Music, where she completed her doctorate in violin performance. She was awarded fellowships to study and perform at the Tanglewood Music Centre for three summers, and has also performed at the Banff Centre for the Arts, the Taos School of Music, and the Britten-Pears Festival in Aldeburgh, England. A finalist in the 1994 Louise McMahon International Competitions, Dr. Dahn has performed as a recitalist and soloist with orchestra in Canada, the United States, England, France and Switzerland. Prior to joining the faculty at Memorial, she taught violin and chamber music at the Cleveland Institute of Music as the assistant to Donald Weilerstein.

Timothy Steeves, piano, studied with Margaret Poole, Peter Simon, Tibor Hazay and David Wilde. After receiving his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Western Ontario, he was awarded a three-year arts fellowship from the German government to continue his studies at the Hochschule fiir Musik in Hanover. In 1994, he completed the Solistenexamen in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. He has performed extensively in Canada and Germany as a soloist and chamber musician.

Kristina Szutor, piano, holds a Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School and a doctorate in piano performance from the University of British Columbia. A finalist in the CBC National Competition and a recipient of several Canada Council grants, she has performed as both soloist and chamber musician throughout Canada and in the United States and Europe. Her performances are frequently aired on CBC Radio, and she has recently recorded a CD of music by Newfoundland composer Michael Parker.

Thomas Heinrich, cello, a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and the Oeveland Institute of Music, has performed as a chamber musician and soloist in North America, Japan, Germany and the former Yugoslavia. Mr. Heinrich has toured extensively in Europe as assistant principal cellist, and later as principal cellist, of the American Sinfonietta, which recently recorded a CD of orchestral works by Mendelssohn on the Summit Select record label. He has also recorded chamber music of Saint-Saens for the Summit label with visiting and resident artists of the Banff Centre. Mr. Heinrich has served as principal cellist of the Oeveland Chamber Symphony, and as assistant principal cellist of the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra under Leonard Bernstein.

Guest artist Lorne Buick, clarinet, has been a member of the Vancouver Wind Trio since 1985. In that time they have performed at two World's Fairs, given performances and master classes at the Shanghai (China) Conservatory, and toured to nine provinces, the two territories and thirty of the United States. The Trio has been featured in live and studio broadcasts on CBC and NPR (including an Arts National concert), and their CD is often heard on the CBC stereo network. Lome holds performance degrees from the University of Toronto and the University of British Columbia.
