Rink Fundraising Update We are so happy with the amount of community support and involvement for our upcoming outdoor rink, whether from businesses or residents, and we would like to thank you all as we look forward to its construction in Alexander MacGillivray park. We are eagerly planning more events and fundraising opportunities in the near future as we continue the fundraising phase through 2020.

We will have an information table at the upcoming Stonebridge trade show, in case you have any questions about the rink or would like to get involved. We are always looking for ways that Stonebridge businesses or residents can either partner, donate financially or with services in kind as we will begin the planning stages in late 2020.

We would like to make this a community build from start to finish, and so if you have the ability to get involved in any level, whether it be fundraising, construction or operation, please contact either of the two rink coordinators, BrahmEnslin or William Kuchapski.

If you’d like to join our volunteer team or our Rink Committee, we would love to hear from you.

Best wishes, BrahmEnslin

City Councillor’s Message

Hello Stonebridge Residents,

November is the month of budget deliberations at City Hall, and this year marks the beginning of the city’s first application of a multi-year budgeting process. This process is being introduced to further improve planning, transparency, and accountability to residents. This budget projects a property tax increase of 3.23% in 2020 and 3.54% in 2021.

Below is a brief snapshot of the way your property tax dollars are proposed to be distributed in 2020/2021. Of course, until the budget is finalized at the end of November this allocation is subject to change.

If this budget were to pass without changes, the average Saskatoon household would pay approximately $5.08 more per month in property tax in 2020, and $5.57 more per month in 2021.

If you have questions or feedback about this budget process I would be happy to chat. As always, please feel free to contact me with any concerns or ideas you may have about the neighbourhood or the city in general.

All the best,

Mairin Loewen City Councillor for Stonebridge 306-229-5298 [email protected]
