Course OverviewMain Business Scenario:

You are involved in the implementation of SAP ERP components. Therefore, you needto understand the integrated logistics and financial processes in SAP ERP, and the use ofanalytical components such as SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse

Target AudienceThis course is intended for the following audiences:

• Solution architects, project managers, project team members, and solution consultantswho want to gain a broad fundamental understanding of the core processes, businessinterrelations, and integration of the individual business applications within the SAPERP solution.

Course PrerequisitesRequired Knowledge

• Knowledge of business processes in enterprise planning and management• Knowledge of business processes in enterprise planning and management Proficiency in

navigation within the SAP systems

Course GoalsThis course will prepare the participant to:

• Explain the fundamental business processes and the integration points of the Order toCash, the Procure to Pay, and the Plan to Produce business processes within SAP ERP.

• Explain how Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Inventory Management,Project Management, Enterprise Asset Management, Customer Service, and HumanCapital Management integrate with the fundamental business processes.

As a Cost Analyst, it is your responsibility to monitor all management accounting activities.A new Engineering department has been created to support the new product developmentactivities. You need to create a cost center to be able to accumulate the costs of thisdepartment. Engineers assigned to this cost center will be responsible for charging their timeto different projects, cost centers, and internal orders. You need to create an activity type toallow for this direct activity allocation. To isolate the costs incurred specifically for productdevelopment, you also decide to create an internal order. You also want to review the ProfitCenter Accounting and Profitability Analysis reports. Lastly, because one of your company’sfinished products was redesigned, you need to recalculate the standard cost for that product.

Unit 5Purchase to Pay Business Process

Unit OverviewBusiness Scenario:

The Product Development department has redesigned one of your company‘s leading pumpsto include a new pump gasket. As a result of this change, new material and vendor masterrecords need to be created. The Engineering department has informed you that they require asmall amount of these gaskets, in their department, so that they can complete the necessarydesign documents. You will manually create a purchase requisition to purchase the materialfor inventory and also for consumption by the Engineering department. Since this will be thefirst time the material is being procured from this vendor, you need to insure that when thematerial is received, the quantity is posted to Quality Inspection Stock. After inspection, itwill be transferred to Unrestricted Use. Once you are satisfied with the product, a manualpayment will be created for the vendor.
