Dear Faculty:

Welcome to the SAP Academic Conference Americas! It is our fifteenth annual event in the Americas, and we are pleased to host you in San Antonio. The SAP University Alliances team, guest speak-ers, breakout leaders and workshop facilitators have worked diligent-ly to put together an event that will provide personal value and give you the tools to effectively utilize a variety of new and exciting SAP products in your lecture halls, labs and projects. This year’s theme is “Innovation Starts Now” and our intent is that you will leave this event with great resources and many ideas on how you can innovate the SAP initiative on your own campus. The “Innovation Starts Now” theme is woven throughout the agenda. Keynotes from experts in mobile, analytics and SAP HANA® will give you a sense of SAP’s strategic direction and help you understand what motivates SAP customers to innovate. SAP product experts will demonstrate the latest SAP products. Professors will share new and innovative curricula and long-time member schools will share their best practices. Professors and SAP product experts will lead hands-on workshops in Analytics, SAP HANA , SAP Business ByDesign® , SAP Customer Relationship Management, SAP ERP, and Sybase® Unwired Platform (mobile). New to the Academic Conference this year is a conference mobile application developed by Dave Haseman of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. We encourage you to download this application to access the agenda and connect with colleagues via your mobile device. In the process you will experience how Sybase Unwired Platform en-ables mobile information services, so organizations can provide rele-vant, up-to-date information to their people no matter where they are. You will hear more about Sybase Unwired Platform in the Friday morning general session, and we encourage you to attend the break-out session. And those who selected Sybase Unwired Platform for one of their workshops will experience the new curriculum developed by Dave Haseman and Ross Hightower of Texas A&M University. The University Alliances team wishes to give special thanks to the University Competence Centers at California State University, Chico and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee which are providing technical support for the many sessions and workshops. And we thank the stu-dents from Texas A&M – San Antonio who are helping with registration.

On Saturday evening, please join us in celebrating our 15th Annual Conference!

Best regards,

Heather Czech Matthews, Regional Director, SAP University Alliances – Americas
