    Literate

    It grants the ability to read any written language for a scene.

    Roll modifiers: Language based on characters, pictograms, or hieroglyphs (-3 dice), Dead Languages (-4 dice) Alien Languages (-

    5 dice)

    Level Two

    Osmosis

    This power grants the ability to absorb the contents of a book for a scene. The number of books that can be retained equals the

    intelligence rating of the character. The kindred must touch the book in order to use this level of power. Systematically this

    grants not only knowledge that is used in-game but also adds a +1 to any relevant dice rolls.

    Cost: 1 Vitae

    Action: Instant

    Roll modifiers: None

    Level Three

    Stolen Knowledge

    With this level of the power the kindred has advanced enough to absorb the knowledge that is held within others. The kindred

    must touch their target before using this level of power. If successfully used on another the kindred gains the desired

    knowledge at the rating of the target with any and all related specialties attached to that skill. This rating does not add to the

    levels of the skill that the kindred may have, but instead supersedes it, granting the knowledge and understanding of the skill

    the same way the target would know it. This power copies what the target knows, it does not actually take away the skill. The

    kindred can only retain one knowledge at a time.

    Cost: 1 Willpower

    Dice Pool: Intelligence + Investigation + Discipline vs. Resolve + Blood Potency

    Action: Contested Reflexive Roll

    Roll modifiers: used on blood ties (+2), each use after first time in one night (-1)

    Level Four

    Knowledge In A Drop

    The kindred can now share their knowledge with others by transferring it through the blood. This mystical transfer changes the

    Vitae so that its usual addictive qualities are negated. This knowledge only lasts a scene, but can share any mental skill and its

    related specialties, whether stolen through a previous level of this power, or owned naturally.

    Cost: 1 Vitae

    Dice Pool: None, or Wits + Academics + Discipline Resolve; if sharing stolen skills.

    Action: Instant

    Roll modifiers: used on blood ties (+2), used on ghoul (+1), used on resisting target (-3)

    Level Five

    Collector

    The Kindred can now absorb the knowledge that they so long to know and retain it indefinitely. The kindred may copy and

    retain a single dot of a single knowledge if the target has that knowledge one point higher than they do. Otherwise, if the target

    retains a specialty that the kindred do not have, they may take that instead. If used on a book, the kindred now can be

    considered to be able to access its contents as though they have the Eidetic Memory Merit permanently for that text. Again,

    contact must be made to utilize this level of power.

    Cost: 1 Dot of Willpower

    Dice Pool: None, or Wits + Academics + Discipline vs. Resolve + Blood Potency; when used on kindred.
