In the theory of reincarnation, when people die,

some part of him/herself lives in another person or

organism. This concept is not a new one and, in fact, is

very ancient. Plato discusses twin souls in his

conference. The Sufi refers twin souls as sister souls in

the Sufi text.

Dr. Michael Newton in his book, Journey of Souls,

gives an explanation of soul duality ,that is based on the

experiences of some of the humans who have inducing

regressed to the time between their lifetimes. Some of

these souls lived parallel lives with similar sequential,

although they were living in two different places, may be

far apart, may be in another continent. where one soul is

able to bi-locate and bi-incarnate into different physical

bodies on the planet within the same lifespan and has

earthy incarnation.

The concept of Soul Mates is not new, in fact, it

dates 5,000 years back to the time of the Egyptian Gods,

Osiris and Isis, who believed that divine love is so strong

that death itself cannot separate them. The Celtic

traditions talk about soul-level love and the beauty of

understanding love and friendship, whereas in Hindu

tradition, the concept of Soul Mates suggests that there

are different types of Soul Mates.

Most people suggest that spiritually, we only have

one twin flame in our lifetime. A belief system from the

origin of the concept of twin flames in Plato’s The

Symposium dialogue indicated that humans originally

had two faces, four arms and four legs. That’s why

humans were once so powerful that they threatened to

overpower Devi Devtas, so the mythic God Zeus split

them in half. However, it is said that once we discover

our other “half”, we feel a profound sense of wholeness

and completeness again. But it is up to you to decide

whether this explanation of twin flames is out-dated or

not.

From my point of view, each twin is a complete

soul not a half soul. It is their task to become more

whole, more complete, balancing their feminine and

masculine sides and ideally become spiritually awakened

before reuniting with their twin. This reunion is of two

complete and whole beings. All other relationships

through all our lives could say to be “preparation” for

the twin. This preparation is meant to practice for the

upcoming of twin, the ultimate relationship. Your twin

flame is as a mirror soul because they essentially reflect

the deepest needs, desires, dreams and shadow elements

of your souls. It’s like seeing your twin in mirror while

you are facing the mirror.

Twin Flames are two people in two separate bodies

that share the same soul features, but not having half

soul. Twin Flames meet each other in their first

incarnation so that they remember the soul’s vibrational

frequency of the other being as everything is made up of

energies. They are then usually reunited at their last time

in this planet. Only some souls, who are in the highest

stages of development and spiritually more awakened,

are able to descend to earth and incarnate in two bodies.

So it makes sense that twin-flame relationships are

reserved for some advanced pure souls, who are nearing

the end of their earthly incarnations and going to merge

the formless universe soon by attaining spiritual

awakening. This does not necessarily mean that all old

souls are twin flames, nor that they will find a twin

flame in this lifetime.

If twin flames meet before they are ready, they can

be the total opposite and not at all compatible and will

be most hurting one. When twin flames meet and are

ready for each other, it is the most pleasurable

experience possible on planet having the feeling of

heaven on earth.

Twin Flames are almost identical. They truly

complement and reflect each other, and it is a hardship

for them to be apart as it may be soul tearing. They are

mirror images for each other. While observing from

outside, it is sometimes hard to distinguish the two

people. They also have a very strong bond and often

have telepathy and spiritual relations with each other.

parallel lives. Again, meeting your twin flame is very

rare.

Our universe grants every soul a twin - a reflection of

themselves, the kindred spirit. And no matter where they

are or how far away they are from each other, even if

Divine And

Unconditional Love

There are two kinds of love – human (Materialized)

and divine. The difference between the two is that

human or personal love is often conditional or limited in

nature and mostly depends on need, whereas divine love

is a spiritual love also known as “Ishq Hakiki” in

Sufism. It is infinite in nature and unconditional.

Often in materialized or human love, there are

aspects of possessiveness, demand or expectation that is

all based on condition, limitation, material and selfish

desire and need.

Unconditional love should never be confused or

misunderstood simply with just sentimental love,

attraction between two people, infatuation, sexual love

or lust, love of family or friends, or where the word

“love” is used very loosely as a sign of friendship,

affection or simply as an expression of endearment.

Unconditional love is best described as a state of

energy, vibration, a powerful force, higher frequency,

ultimately the very highest expression of energy and

vibration of all emanating as it does from the very

highest, purest, most perfect and most divine energy of

the source.

Divine love is unconditional love. A soul loves

another soul without having any expectation and desire.

The soul’s main purpose is to serve the other soul.

Divine love only wants happiness of the other soul.

It releases the attachment of need. Whether the

person is with you or not, the divine love will always

take care of the other. It allows the love from within the

soul and spirit of yours.

Each concept of need is a craving of ego. So need is

totally debarred from the divine love and a part of

human love.

Divine love is defined in one word: GIVE…

GIVE… AND GIVE.

It’s a total acceptance of another soul with all the

flaws and errors.

formless Almighty created and sustained the entire

universe in all spheres of life and reality; pure

unconditional love is, therefore, the very highest and

most divine expression of Almighty.

So, the divine love is the base of all twin flames.

They love each other unconditionally and grow

independently.

Types of Soul

If you do believe in reincarnation and past lives, you

could literally have hundreds of soul mates out there,

people you have bumped into constantly over your many

lives along with karma which comes with it.

But the twin is different. It is your soul’s mirror

image. You can have many soul mates but twin is the

only one. The reunification of twins is also a very holy

and spiritual event.

Our soul is the spiritual part of ourselves that has

existed since eternity began. It has been made by the

formless universe, which cannot be uncreated, and it will

exist long after this incarnation here. When you think

about the concept of opposites and choices, the opposing

and mirroring fields that you deal with everyday, there

has to be another piece of yourselves somewhere that

can complement your soul today.

Following are some types of soul connections:

Karmic Mates

Karmic soul mates come together specifically for the

purpose of teaching or working out an issue. There may

be a soul with whom we have unfinished work or shared

trauma or need. Karmic relationships can come to us as

friends and family or enemies and oppressors or even as

people just passing through. How they are present is less

important than why they are present.

You will keep attracting that lesson, possibly in the

form of many similar karmic relationships, until it is

understood. Welcoming the lesson will help you to

complete that healing and to move forward. They treat as

a mentor for another soul and teach some special

lessons, which the soul is not learning through many

cycles.

Karmic soul mates are very common, and you will

encounter many of these in your lifetime. The purpose of

karmic soul mates is to teach you a minor lesson that

helps you to spiritually evolve.

Karmic soul mates can be family members, close

friends or even co-workers, but humans are not the only

karmic relationships. The same karmic characteristics

displayed by humans are often found in our pets, as

many of us consider them important and special

members of our family, or it may be with other

organisms…like snakes…etc.

Karmic soul mates do not make good romantic

partners, even though the attraction may be strong. If

you understand why they have appeared, you can

appreciate them for what they are and not expect

something more or different from them, and learn the

lessons which you have to learn from them.

Sometimes, your best friend is also your karmic

soul mate. They tease you, love you, teach you the

special lesson and treat as a mentor. My best friend

Reema Puniani is also one of my karmic soul mates as

she comes to know what has happened to me only by

listening my voice. Though she lives far away from me

still the vibrations can reach her. She was an important

part of my spiritual evolvement. She loves me, scolds

me but at the same time also tells me about my wrong

deeds. We both learn from each other.

Not all karmic relationships are unpleasant. It is

possible to learn something easily and joyfully. The

main point of karmic relationships is that they are

purpose-driven and when that purpose (teaching,

learning) is accomplished, they typically end.

It also works in an opposite way, for example, if

your mother-in-law is very dominating and making your

life tough, she may be your karmic soul mate to teach

you some important lessons of life. Acknowledging this

behavior as wrong allows you to take positive action and

change the situation, completing a part of spiritual

evolution. Understanding why they appeared into your

lives, will help you appreciate them for what they were -

a lesson, and nothing more.

Companion Mates

Companion souls are in harmony and on the same

vibrational frequency and wavelength, and they are what
