For this unit I am working as a trainee computer animator for a small studio. A charity, called Life and Health, has commissioned the studio to produce a digital animation. Life and Health promote healthy living to young people. The short animation should be on some aspect of healthy living, such as taking regular exercise, the dangers of smoking, or eating a balanced diet. I have been chosen by the supervisor and I have to help the charity to:-Understand the different features and purposes of animations-Design a short animation, of at least 30 seconds, which promotes healthy living to young people.-Source assets and create the designed animation-Review the animation, gather feedback from young people (the intended audience) and produce recommendations on the animation.

In this unit my client requires a plan and drawings of the lounge area of 12 Assignment Street, a fictional address which is used as the set of a new play. The set has to fit
the stage at the Little Bredbury Little Theatre. The theatre has a width of 10 meters and a depth of 8
meters. The useable height is 4.5 meters. My drawings will have to be outlines only and will be used by my client’s set builders to build the set. It is therefore
essential that the drawings are done to scale. In addition I have been asked to give an artist’s
impression of what the finished set may look like. I will have to superimpose furniture, fabrics and fittings into my drawings, and I will have to select suitable colour
schemes. The play is a period drama set in the 1920’s.These images will be used by the client’s props
department to furnish and fit the set. The client has asked you to design a few alternative styles of décor. My final products must contain clear labels identifying the
various parts.

In this unit I am applying for a job with an IT company. As part of the application process, the company wants
to see examples of the work I have made and the projects you have completed.
I have to design a digital portfolio to go alongside my application, which includes at least two products or
projects you have worked on. The content of my portfolio should show a range of your IT skills and
experience and be related to the work of the IT company you are applying to. In my portfolio, I have to
specify audience and purpose. Include a timeline, structure chart, storyboards and details of assets
required. Justify the choice of assets and the design of the portfolio in relation to the audience and purpose.

As well as the ICT stuff I have done computer science where I have made code that does anything form create shapes to code that does times tables, and much more,
I have done 2 controlled assessments which have created games and I have had to describe how I made
the code with testing, flowcharts, block diagrams. I have also done CAD in resistant materials were it has helped me work out what types of joints to use and what things
I could build.Hyperlinks:
