Key  Job  Roles Builds  rapport  and  identifies  the  customer’s  requirements  - Talks with, and listens to customers to build rapport and understands their requirements - Qualifies own understanding of the customer’s needs – through discussion and gauging the

customer’s reaction to alternative options – to build the closest possible match between the product and customer

- Demonstrates the most suitable options to the customer, understanding and adapting to their buying strategy and encouraging them to experience the product through test drive

- Uses in depth product knowledge to guide the customer towards the best choice for them - Carries out telephone prospecting from the data base as directed by the Sales Manager and follows

up on scheduled Marketing activities - Completes Prospecting calls specifically linked to Finance Referrals matching product benefits to

specific Customer’s needs as guided by the Sales Manager Agrees/finalises  the  details  of  the  sale  - Appraises the customer’s part exchange vehicle (where applicable), agreeing a purchase price with

the General Sales Manager - Reviews accessories and additional product options with the customer - Uses interactive systems (e.g. Sales Workbench, Viewpoint) to help tailor the product offering to

the customer’s specifications - Presents the sale price in an open, honest and transparent way and deals with customer

questions/objections in a friendly and professional manner - Introduces the Business Manager or agrees the payment method and any finance arrangements

with the customer direct, working within company guidelines and FSA regulations Coordinates  order  and  delivery  - Liaises with the Sales Administrator to ensure product availability fits with customer expectations,

places the order, updates customer records and schedules any work to be carried out on the vehicle, confirm delivery dates and keeps the customer abreast of any developments through regular contact

Builds  the  relationship  with  the  customer  during  and  following  handover - Hands the vehicle over personally, tailoring the experience to the customer’s requirements (i.e.

location, features demonstrated) - Introduces appropriate Aftersales staff to the customer for future contact - Ensures that each handover is followed up with a personal call to answer any queries and to build

the relationship further - Maintains and accurate and up to date customer database Develops  relationships  to  win  new  business  - Plans and organises daily selling activity – e.g. telephoning sales contacts to obtain new business,

planned Prospecting through effective data base management, Finance referrals and follow through on marketing campaigns

Keeps  apace  of  market  conditions  and  current  ways  of  selling  - Maintains in depth knowledge of product offerings (Hybrid Synergy Drive) and keeps up to date

with new competitor product– e.g. Electric vehicles - Communicates with customers through a variety of media (e.g. Sales Workbench communications

suite, e-mail, text) Works  as  a  full  member  of  the  Centre  team  - Works with colleagues and other teams across the Centre to provide continuous improvement and a

seamless service to customers (e.g. attending to Aftersales customers, with the aim of obtaining new business)

- Ensures opportunities for sales by other teams are followed up by the most appropriate specialist (e.g. Fleet Sales)
