Triduum/Easter The Easter Triduum (Latin for “three days”) commemorates the essential elements of our salvation: Christ’s sacrifice, his burial and his resurrection.

Holy Thursday Mass: March 24th at 7:00pm

The Triduum observance begins Holy Thursday evening with the Mass of the Lord’s Supper. The liturgy’s Washing of the Feet recalls Christ’s example of loving service. As a whole, the liturgy celebrates Christ’s love for us made manifest in the Eucharist and in the sacrifice at Calvary. There will be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Chapel Thursday evening until 10:00PM if you would like to spend some quite time with Jesus and reflect on Christ’s invitation to focus on our common faith, common hopes, and Christ’s heartfelt prayer for unity at the Last Supper.

Good Friday Service: March 25th at 12:00pm

A day of fast and abstinence from meat, Good Friday features the Adoration of the Cross in a solemn liturgy focused on Christ’s death and burial. True disciples take up the cross with its intersecting vertical and horizontal beams that reconcile heaven to earth. In this way, they share the vulnerability Jesus embraced by becoming human, becoming brothers an sisters in Christ and co-heirs to Easter glory.

Easter Vigil: March 26th at 7:30pm

We do not seek to commune with darkness, but to keep vigil with full hope of meeting the risen Lord. Beginning with the blessing of the new fire and the light ceremony, the Easter Vigil recounts our salvation history in an extended Liturgy of the Word, culminating in the baptism and/or the renewal of our baptismal promises. The Vigil culminates with the Liturgy of the Eucharist that unleashes our Easter joy for the next 50 days of the Easter season.

Easter Sunday Masses: March 27th at 7:30 & 10:00am

Easter Sunday is the preeminent Sunday, reminding us of why we celebrate Mass and worship the Lord throughout the year. “Alleluia” is introduced back into the liturgy after being absent throughout the Season of Lent.

Second Collection– Good Friday Pontifical Collection Pope Francis has asked our Parish to support Christians in the Holy Land. When you contribute to the Pontifical Good Friday

Collection, you become an instrument of peace in a troubled land. The political, religious and military challenges in the Holy Land are

more complex than ever. Your support helps Christians, along with all clergy and religious who serve there. Please be generous!

Retirement Celebration in Honor of Our School Principal, Anne Dumas

school families, and friends for a celebration in the school gym. More details to come!

It's time to clean your closets, garages and basements. The

Birthright rummage sale will be held on Apr. 15th and 16th. PLEASE DO

NOT BRING YOUR DONATIONS BEFORE Apr. 11th. We will no longer be able to accept electrical appliances or baby equipment.

Please save your large brown paper grocery bags. If you have any questions please call Germaine at 866-4206.

We have achieved our goal for our floor & pew project, except for monies pledged &

not yet collected from Fruitful Harvest. We are still counting on those pledges being

honored. A total of $14,706.00 of the $36,875.00 pledged towards the floor

dovetail has been paid to the Diocese & will be returned to our parish. Even so, we will be taking up two more floor collections

toward the floor/pew project. These will cover expenses not factored into the origi-nal estimate of the project (more expensive chemical strippers dictated by recent EPA regulations, the cost of kneeler padding where that needs to be replaced). The next collection will be taken up Easter

weekend. The last collection will be taken up the last Sunday of April. Thank you for

your generosity and stewardship!
