SAINIK SCHOOL REWARI, SECTOR-4, REWARI (HARYANA) Introduction 1. Sainik School Rewari was inaugurated on 29 Aug 08 by Shri AK Antony, Hon'ble Raksha Mantri. The proposed permanent location of the school is at village Gothra Tappa Khori, District Rewari (Haryana), situated 15 km south - west of Rewari town on Rewari- Narnaul Road. The school is temporarily functioning from Govt. Primary School, Sector-4, Rewari. The State Government has handed over Youth Hostel, Rao Tula Ram Stadium, Rewari for temporary use as a residential complex for the cadets. Aim 2. The primary aim of the school is to prepare boys academically, mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla. The school enables boys from economically weaker sections of the society to take up a challenging and high status career as an officer in the Defence Services of India. Character building, dedication, patriotic outlook and esprit-de-corps are the qualities which are promoted by the Sainik Schools. S trength 3. At present the school has 160 cadets studying in Class VI & VII. Curriculum 4. The school will be affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi in due course of time and will also become a member of the Indian Public Schools Conference. The school will only prepare boys for science stream in All India Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations. Sports and other co curricular activities are -1-

given equal emphasis along with the academics in the schoolso as to develop an all round balanced personality capableof leadership. Sainik School Rewari basically caters for theboys of the State of Haryana but few seats are available forchildren belonging to other states also. This is done topromote the spirit of National Integration among the cadets.Liberal scholarship is provided by the State Govt. and Ministryof Defence on the basis of a cadet's academic performanceand parent’s income.

School Motto5. The motto of the school is “Gyan, Sadbhavna, DeshBhakti” denoting the three primary qualities that the cadetsof this school should imbibe from their education for thepurpose of Nation Building.

School Administration6. The administration of the school is vested in the Boardof Governors, an autonomous body under the Chairman-ship of the Defence Minister. The Chief Minister/ Educa-tion Minister of the States in which Sainik School located arethe members of the Board of Governors.

7. The Principal of the school is an active service officerof the rank of Colonel (or its equivalent rank of Indian AirForce or Indian Navy). He is assisted by a Headmaster andRegistrar of the rank of Lt Col.

8. Teaching staff consists of highly qualified persons whohave the aptitude for Public School education.

Admission10. Admission in the Sainik Schools is done on the basisof All India Entrance Examination held at various centres allover India. This examination is given wide publicity throughvarious means of advertisement. The written examinationis conducted at the following centres :-(a) All Sainik Schools and the Centres as selected by thePrincipal in their respective states.(b) Sainik School Rewari will have examination centres atRewari only.Note :- Every effort will be made to allot the centre of thecandidate's choice but his examination centre may bechanged due to administrative reasons. Candidates will notbe allowed to take examination at a centre other than theone allotted to him. The Principal of the school may cancelan examination centre if the number of candidates isinadequate or less at that centre.

11. Admission to Sainik School Rewari is offered to boys(no provision for girls) in class VI. The candidate should beborn between 2nd Jul 2000 and 1st Jul 2001 (both daysinclusive). Only one chance is allowed to each boy to takeadmission test in Sainik School. Application Form attachedwith the prospectus will only be entertained. Admit Card Formattached with the application should be filled in by thecandidate except Roll Number and Centre which will beallotted by the school. Recent passport size photographs areto be pasted in the space provided for them in the ApplicationForm and Admit Card.

12. Admission in Sainik Schools is done on the basis of amerit list which is prepared by adding up the marks scored bya candidate in the written examination and interview subjectto the condition that he is found fit by the designated medicalauthority. Merely qualifying the written examination does notconfer the right of admission to a candidate.

13. The parents willing for admission of their sons/wardsin other Sainik Schools in case they are qualified but low inmerit in this school can be considered for admission as fullfee paying cadets in other Sainik Schools subject to theavailability of vacancies. For such admission, they will howeverbe required to give an undertaking, that they are willing toadmit their sons/wards in other Sainik Schools as full feepaying cadets and will not seek inter school transfer fromthat school at a later date. Choice of Sainik School can begiven in the Application Form in the following manner:-

14. All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination forthe session 2011-12 will be held on 02 January (Sunday)2011. Change in date, if any, will be communicated throughprint media. The programme of Entrance Examination is givenbelow: -

Notes: -i) A candidate may opt for English or Hindi as his mediumand language for the entrance examination. The standard ofthe entrance examination for class VI would be equivalent tothe standard of class V of CBSE. Approximately 80 boys willbe admitted to Class VI in session 2011-12.

ii) 25% vacancies are reserved for wards of defencepersonnel and ex-servicemen, 15% and 7½% seats arereserved for the boys belonging to Scheduled Castes andScheduled Tribes respectively.

iii) Only those boys who obtain qualifying marks and havefared high in the merit list in the written test will be called forinterview and medical examination at a later date.

iv) The school does not patronize or affiliate any coachinginstitute/agent and admissions will be done strictly on thebasis of merit in the Entrance Examination and subject tomedical fitness of the candidates.

15. Prospectus -cum application forms for admission atSainik School Rewari may be obtained from the PrincipalSainik School Rewari, Sector-4, Rewari (Haryana) Pin-123401w.e.f. 15 Oct 10 to 09 Dec 10 on all working days between1000- 1300 hrs by paying cash Rs. 400/- for General andDefence categories and Rs. 250/- for SC and STcategories.

16. The prospectus may also be obtained by post bysending an application on plain paper by mentioning addressand category along with a DD of Rs. 450/- for General andDefence categories and Rs. 300/- for SC and ST categories,drawn in favour of Principal, Sainik School Rewari, payableat PNB District Secretariat, Rewari (Code No. 4681).

17. Applications submitted on forms other than theprescribed forms attached to this prospectus will not beentertained. Application Forms/Prospectus would be issuedto individuals and it is non- transferable. Forms would not begiven to Institutions/ Coaching Centres. No person is allowedto purchase more than two prospectuses at a time.

18. Duly completed applications to reach Principal, SainikSchool Rewari, Sector-4, Rewari (Haryana) -123401 posi-tively by 10 Dec 2010 and school will not be responsible forrejection of the application on account of postal delay, if any.

19. A latest passport size photograph of the boy, dulysigned by the boy on the photograph, is to be pasted on theapplication form and admit card. A copy of the samephotograph is required to be produced to the officer-in -chargeof the examination centre.Announcement of Results20. Result will be published in the leading newspapers.Candidates called for the interview and medical will howeverbe informed separately by post also.

Interview and Medical Examination21. Only the candidates notified in the merit list of thewritten examination will be called for the interview and medi-cal examination. The interview will be conducted at SainikSchool Rewari. The interview will consist of 50 marks. Themedical examination will be conducted at Civil Hospital Rewarior at the Hospital notified by the school. Cut off marks for thefinal merit list will be decided on the basis of the total numberof seats available for admission.

Merely qualifying the interview/medical examinationdoes not confer any right to admission in SainikSchools.22. Written exam and interview marks can be obtained fromthe school by sending a written application along with a DD ofRs. 100/- in favour of Principal, Sainik School Rewari, payableat PNB, District Secretariat, Rewari (Code No. 4681).

Documents Required23. Parents/Guardians of boys must submit the followingdocuments at the time of admission:-(a) Transfer Certificate from the previous school dulycountersigned by DEO concerned. If the boy had beenstudying in a school not recognised by the EducationDepartment of the state, then the birth certificate issued fromMunicipality/Registrar 'Death & Birth' is required to besubmitted as proof of age. An affidavit is not accepted as anauthentic proof of the date of birth. Boys who are apparentlyconsidered overage are also required to produce a properbirth certificate issued from Municipality/Registrar 'Death &Birth'. In case of sons of serving defence personnel/ex-servicemen, documents maintained by their Records Officewill be considered.(b) Certificate of domicile and affidavit of domicile issuedby District Magistrate/Magistrate Class I of the District ofdomicile. Please see Appces, 'A' and 'B'.

(c) Affidavit of income/income certificate duly attested/issued by Magistrate Class-I of concerned district, if seekingscholarship. Please see Appce 'C' and 'D'.(d) Agreement Form as at Appx 'E' duly filled in and signedon non judicial stamp paper of Rs. 3/-(e) A bond prescribed by the scholarship grantingauthority, (For Haryana domicile only) as Appx 'F'.

Joining Instructions24. Boys selected for admission are issued with joininginstructions. Once admission is accepted, the boy is given aschool number, which remain with him through out his stay inthe school. All correspondence and documents pertaining tothe boy should bear his school number.All articles brought from home by the boy should bemarked with this school number, in good nonerasable ink or paint.

School Fees / Charges25. The fees and charges are as under:-*(a) Tuition Fees Rs. 54,057/-and Dietary ChargesRs. 13,542/- per annum;*(Subject to change as per direction by the Sainik SchoolsSociety(MoD), New Delhi from time to time upto 10%.(b) Clothing Charges Rs.1500/- per annum.(c) Pocket money Rs. 1500/-(d) Security deposit of Rs. 3,000/- for general and defencecategory (Rs. 1,500/- in case of SC/ST) category. Securitymoney is collected at the time of admission is refundable atthe time boy leaves the school after deduction of outstand-ing dues, if any.

However, if the boy is withdrawn on parents requestwithout giving two months advance notice, the securitymoney will be forfeited.(e) Incidental charges Rs. 1500- per boy.(f) In addition to clothing Charges the cost of Blazer (Approx.Rs. 700/-) will be charged separately from class VI (newentry).

Payment26. All the school dues are to be paid in advance bydemand draft in favour of the Principal, Sainik School Rewari,payable at PNB, District Secretariat, Rewari (Code No. 4681)and are to be deposited to the Bank under challan form andone of counter-foils will be submitted to the School AccountsSection.27. Boys from whom fees/dues not received are liable tobe sent back home at the risk and expenses of their parents.

Certificate28. No character or School Leaving Certificate will beissued to the boy till all outstanding dues are paid to theschool.

Personal Clothing29. Clothing items provided to the boy by the school forthe sake of uniformity, cost of which to be borne by the parentsis as per Appx 'G'. A list of personal clothing which is to beprovided by the parents/guardians at the time of admissionof a boy is given in Appx. 'H 'No expenses on this account may be incurred till a boyis found medically fit and is finally called for admission.30 The academic session is from April to March. Thereare two main terms from July to December and from Janu-ary to May.31. The summer vacation is generally of 7 weeks durationfrom mid May to July. There are two short breaks in theMonths of Oct and Dec.

Promotions32. From Academic Session 2010-2011 onwards, aminimum requirement of obtaining D grade in each subjectand 30 grade points in total out of maximum 60 grade points(thereby equalling to 50% in Aggregate) for Class Promotionwill be required.33. The medium of instruction is English with Hindi as acompulsory subject.34. Private tuition is not permitted. However, the schoolmakes special arrangements for extra classes for boys weakin studies. The Parents/Guardians are advised to make sucharrangements during the vacations.

Progress Reports to Parents35. Parents are kept informed about the progress of theirwards from time to time. They are also advised to be in touchwith the school to purposefully watch the progress of theirwards.36. Apart from the academic aspect, boys are subjectedto the obligations inherent in community living. They arerequired to conform to that code of honour and conduct onwhich good citizenship is found. Good manners and disciplineform an integral part of the training.

Co-curricular Activities37. These activities play a very important part in thetraining given at the school. The scheme provides amplescope for development of the student's creative faculties andskills. The boys learn by doing and participating in theseactivities according to their aptitudes. All the boys areexpected to take part in any of these activities.Physical Education38. The school provides facilities for games and sports inaddition to P.T. which is compulsory.

Medical Attention39. For medical facilities the school is dependent onDistrict Civil Hospital Rewari. Serious illness will be informedto the parents immediately. A terminal medical examinationis carried out and record of health, weight and height is keptby the school.

Catering40. The school has a Mess. All the boys sit at one timeand have their meals under the immediate supervision oftheir teachers. The menu is decided by a messing committee,consisting of boys and members of staff.

Daily Routine41. The boys daily routine with P.T. in the morning followedby academic classes study periods, games, hobbies andprivate study. Holidays are utilized for extra co-curricularactivities.

Dress42. Each student at the beginning of the school term isrequired to bring with him certain articles of clothing (Pleasesee Appx 'H'). Certain clothing items are provided to the boysby the school for the sake of uniformity (see Appx 'G'). Thecost of such items is borne by the parents.43. The daily summer working dress consists of Khakishirts with shoulder flashes showing house colour and KhakiTrousers. In winter, a woolen army-pattern long-sleevedjersey pullover is worn over the shirt.

Withdrawals44. Notice of withdrawal must be given two month inadvance. Failure in giving such a notice will entail theforfeiture of caution money (Security Money).

45. The Principal can, in the interest of the school have aboy removed from the school for the following reasons:-(a) Where in his opinion the boy has failed to accept thediscipline of the school and his continued presence isdetrimental to the general interest of the others.(b) Where the boy fails to come up to the required academicstandard.(c) The principal may send the boy home or withdraw himfrom the school at the parents' risk and responsibility at anystage if it is proved that scholarship and admission have beenobtained on production of false documents.

Prizes46 Individual prizes are given to boys to inculcate in thema healthy spirit of competition for distinction in academics,games and sports.

School Magazines47. The school magazine will be brought out once a yearand news bulletin periodically.

Library48. The school maintains a Library cum Reading Room. Anumber of magazines, periodicals and news papers areprovided for education.

Educational Aids49. The school has internet, computers facility which isused for instructional purposes.

50. The school has two houses i.e. Ganga and Yamuna.In due course with increase in strength of students morehouses will be formed.

Student Appointments51. To promote qualities of leadership, self reliance andco-operation amongst the boys, a system of students'appointment has been introduced. The school captain is thesenior most appointment. He is responsible to the Principalfor the overall discipline for all the boys in the school. He isassisted by Vice Captain. Every House has a House Captainwho is responsible for the discipline of the boys of thatparticular house. The House Captains are assisted by HouseVice Captain. All appointments are distinguished by distinctivebadges of rank. The class monitors are also provided withdistinguishing badges of rank. They look after the boys duringacademic hours.

Indemnity52. The school authorities or any staff of the school willnot be liable for any damage on account of injuries total orotherwise, which may be sustained by a boy at anytime duringhis stay in the school, while taking part in P.T. sports, athleticsetc.

Visiting Hours53. Parents are permitted to visit the school to meet boysbetween 0900 to 1330 hours on the Second Sunday of eachmonth. Leave is generally not granted to boys during the termexcept in exceptional cases.

Interview with the Principal54. Parents wishing to meet the Principal are advised tomake prior appointment either by letter or on telephone No.01274-260850 (Rewari).

Care of Property55. All belongings of the boys must be clearly marked.Boys are responsible for the care of their own property. Whilstnormal precautions are taken, the school accepts noresponsibility for their property being lost or damaged in thepremises. Any damage caused to the school property by theboys or loss of clothing, books or other articles will be chargedfrom the parents/guardians concerned.

Scholarships56. A number of scholarships are awarded by the StateGovernment tenable in the school located in their respectivestates.57. Parents/Guardians of the recipients of Governmentscholarship are required to execute a bond to the effect thatif their son/ward does not take the competitive examinationof the Union Public Service Commission for admission to theNational Defence Academy or having taken the examinationdoes not join the Academy, if selected, they would have torefund to the Government concerned, the value ofscholarships availed by their son/ward during his stay in theschool. This will also be the position if he leaves the schoolat any intermediate stage with-out taking the examination ofthe Union Public Service Commission. The agreement to besigned by parents is given at Appendix 'E'. Parents/Guardiansof boys in receipt of scholarship from Governments arerequired to execute separate bonds prescribed by the stateGovernments.58. Before a scholarship is sanctioned, parents/guardiansare required to produce the documents mentioned in para 23.59. The responsibility to pay school dues on account ofstoppage, non-grant or cut in scholarship by the scholarshipgranting authority for any reason will rest with the parents.

60. Scholarship will only be granted on the understand-ing that the boy will be on constant probation for the periodhe is in the school. If at any time the Principal feels that aboy is not justifying the scholarship, granted by the State/Central Government, he can withdraw the scholarship. De-tails of scholarships admission are given in Appendix 'J'. Forgetting scholarship the parents are to submit an affidavitand application as given in Appx. 'K' & 'L'.61. The scholarship granting authority may revise orstipulate conditions for grant of scholarship. For continuanceof scholarship, it is necessary that the scholars maintainsatisfactory progress in their studies, and are not reportedadversely regarding discipline and that a scholarship holderunder one scheme does not draw a scholarship/financialassistance of any kind from any other source.

Important points for parents and guardians62. Parents & guardians are requested to co-operate withthe school in maintaining discipline and establishing healthytraditions by:(a) Acknowledging promptly all school circulars regardingfees, escorts, progress reports and complying withinstructions regarding extra tutorial attention to be given dur-ing the vacation.(b) Not asking for leave during terms except in exceptionalcases.(c) Not visiting the boys other than on prescribed days/occasion (Second Sunday of the month).(d) Equipping the boys properly with clothing andnecessary.(e) Not sending sweets and other eatables.(f) Ensuring that the boy rejoins the school on the duedate after each vacation.(g) Not sending clothing which has not been included inthe list of authorised clothing (however, boys proceeding to

colder climates during the vacation must be provided withsuitable warm clothing by the parents).(h) Ensure that the boy is not in possession of valuablearticles such as gold chains, costly watches, rings, studs etc. (i) By writing the boy's school Numbers, Name, Houseand class on all letters addressed to him.(j) Indicating the School Number, Name, Class andHouse of the boy in all correspondence with the schooland enclosing a self addressed, stamped envelope if a replyis expected.(k) Parents under no circumstances will visit class-rooms ordorms.(I) PTA meeting is held in every session as per schoolcalendar and it is desirable that all parents must attend.

Medical Standard for Admission to Sainik School63. All candidates before admission to the Sainik Schoolwill be subjected to a medical examination by a Boardconsisting of Military/ civil doctors. The standard of healthand medical fitness would be the same as laid down for theNDA Examination. In view of the tender age of the boys,however, no standards of height, weight and chestmeasurement will be applicable at the time of admission.64. The decision of the Medical Board will be final, exceptwhere a representation has been made to the Principal. ThePrincipal will examine the appeal himself and decide withreference to the evidence produced before him if the casecalls for a review. Medical opinion contrary to the findings ofthe previous medical board (s) will normally merit a review.The Principal may arrange a review medical board forre-examination of the candidates. If the review medical boardfinds him medically fit for admission, the Principal willconsidered him for admission to the School. The Schoolwill charge a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rs.50/- from SC/ST) for hold-ing a review medical board. Additional expenditure, if any

will be borne by the School. However, the candidate willbe required to appear before the Review Medical Board atthe designated place at his own expense. In case the Re-view Medical Board finds him fit for admission the fee chargefrom the parent will be refunded.65. The minimum acceptable visual standards will be asunder:-

(a) Visual Standards (i) Standard I Distant Vision (Uncorrected 6/6 (Both eyes)(ii) Standard II Distant Vision-better eye 6/18 Worse eye 5/18 Correctable to 6/16 and 6/19The Minimum acceptable visual standard for admission

to Sainik School will be standard II. Candidates with visualstandard II admitted to NDA after successful completion oftheir training in Sainik School may be found fit for Army only.Note :-

(i) Myopia not to exceed minus 1.5 including astigmatism.(ii) Manifast Hypermypio not to exceed plus 2.5 Soh

including astigmatism.(iii) Fundus @ Meiia to be healthy with no changes by

myopia.(iv) Visual Fields to be full in each eye.(v) Minocular vision and steropsis must be good.(vi) The colour Blindness should not exceed CP-III(vii) Mild Trachoma State III or IV with a regressive

coreal pannus of not more than 1 to 2mm may be acceptedin the opinion of the specialist, exacerbation of deteriorationare not likely(b) It will also be ensured that:-(i) There is no evidence of weak constitution, imperfect

development, serious malformation or obesity weightshould not exceed the upper limit laid down in stan-dard scale for 11 years.

(ii) The age restriction is between 10-11 years.

(iii) There is normal development or impairment of functionof the bones of joints.

(iv) There is no impediment of speech like stammering etc.(v) There is no malformation of the head, deformity from

fracture or depression of the bones of the skull.(vi) There is no impaired hearing, discharge from or disease

of either ear unhealed or perforation of the tympanicmembrane or signs of acute or chronic suppurativeotitis Media of evidence of radical or modified radicalmastoid operation.

Note :-A soundly healed perforation without any impairment of themobility of the drum and without any impairment of hearingshould not be a cause of rejection.(vii) There is no disease of the bones of cartilages of the

nose or nasal polypus disease or of the nasodharynxand accessory sinuses.

(Viii) There are no enlarged glands in the neck and otherparts of the body and that thyroid gland is normal

Note :-Scars of the person for the removal of tuberculosis glandsare not a cause for rejection provided that there has beenno active disease with in the preceding 5 years and the chestis clinically and radio logically clear.(ix) There is no disease of throat palates, tonsil or of gums

disease or injury affecting the normal function of eithermandibular joints.

Note :-Simple hypertrophy of the tonsils, if there is no history ofattacks of tonsillitis, is not a cause of rejection.(x) There is no sign of functional or organic disease of the

heart and blood vessels.(xi) There is no evidence of pulmonary tuberculosis or

(xii) There is no evidence of any disease of digestivesystem including any abnormality of the liver andspleen.

(xiii) There is no hernia or tendency thereto.(xiv) There is no hydrocele or definite veriocele or other

disease of defect of the genital organs

Note:-A candidate who has been operated upon for hydrocele willbe accepted if there are no abnormalities of the cord andtesticle and there is no evidence of filariasis.(xv) There is no fistula and / or fissure of the anus or

evidence of heamrrhoida.(xvi) There is no disease of the kidney, All cases of

Albuminiuria and Glycosure will be rejected.(xvii) There are no diseases of the skin of allergic nature

like aczema, chronic ulticurea etc. are likely to causedisability or marked disfigurement is a cause forrejection.

(xviii) There is no active, latent congenital venereal disease.(xix) There is no history of evidence of mental disease.

Candidate suffering from epilepsy incontinence of urineor enuresis will not be accepted.

(xx) There is no squint of morphed condition of the eye orof the lids which are liable to a risk is aggravation orrecurrence.

(xxi) There is no active trachoma or its complications.

That for any reasons not beyond the control of eitherthe student or the Guarantor the student fails to pursue hisstudies at the said school before appearing for selection forentry to any institution as may from time to time be prescribedby the Governors for training for entry to the Regular ArmedForces or fails to appear for the said selection or in the eventof his not succeeding in the said selection , fails to appear forselection , till such time as his age permits him to do so,according to the rules and regulations.

6. For the time being in force or having been declaredsuccessful at the said selection, does not proceed to one ofthe said institutions to which he may be directed to proceedfor being trained for entry into the Regular Armed Forces orhaving joined the said institutions fails to complete the trainingthereat for entry into the Regular Armed Forces or fails tojoin the Regular Armed Forces after completing the trainingat the said institution, then and if any such case the Guaran-tor shall forthwith pay to the Governors, in cash, the sum ofscholarship the student has received from the school and/orthe State government/Central government the value of thescholarship he has received for the period the student was atthe said school.

7. That if after admission any of the following viz, proof ofDomicile, certificate of age and statement of income suppliedby the Guarantor, is found to be false in any way or not inorder, the Guarantor shall forthwith pay to the Governors, incash, the sum of scholarship the student has received fromthe school and/or the State government/Central governmentthe value of the scholarship he has received for the periodthe student was at the said school.8. That if after admission, the student is found to bemedically unfit in any way at the time which might, accordingto the opinion of the appropriate medical authority, renderhim unfit for his future entry to the Regular Armed Forces, thestudent will be withdrawn at once, but it would be open to theGuarantor to retain him at the school on payment of the full

That if for any reasons not beyond the control of either thestudent or the Guarantor the student fails to pursue his studies atthe said school before appearing for selection for entry to anyinstitution, as may from time to time be prescribed by the Govt. fortraining for entry to the regular Armed Forces or fails to appear forthe said selection till such time as his Age permits him to do so,according to the rules and regulations for the time being in forcesor having been declared successful at the said selection does notproceed to one of the said institutions to which he may be directedto proceed for being trained for entry into the Regular Armed Forcesor fails to join the Regular Armed Forces after completing the trainingat the said institution, then and if in any such case, the Guarantorshall forthwith pay to the Govt. in cash the sum of scholarship thestudent has received from the school and/or the State Govt. thevalue of the scholarship he has received for the period the studentwas at the said school.5. The above bounden principal shall communicate anychange in his income to the Principal, Sainik School Rewariimmediately.

6. The student shall not leave the school at any intermediatestage.7. On default or break of any of the above mentionedconditions, the above bounden persons shall well and truly repayall money paid to the student on account of scholarship and clothingallowance, if granted, with interest thereon from the date of demandat Govt. rates for the time being in force on the Govt. loan then theabove written bond or obligation shall be void, otherwise the sameshall remain in full force and virtue.8. Provided always that if it comes to the knowledge of theGovt. that a scholarship or part thereof has been obtained on thebasis of false furnished by the principal the amount of scholarshipso obtained shall become immediately re-payable on demand andmay be recovered from the principal and the sureties jointly andseverally.9. (a) His actual home is in Haryana.(b) He is born in Haryana and has lived in the state

upto the date of application.(c) His father was born in Haryana and has lived in the

state for the major portion of his life.(d) He or his father has lived in Haryana continuously

recommendations of the Principal regarding goodconduct and otherwise suitability of the student forsuch award.

3. An affidavit to domicile on a non-Judicial stamp paper isrequired to be submitted. An affidavit on non judicial stamp paperclearing the total monthly income of both parents/guardians is alsorequired. The affidavit is required to be verified by the District Mag-istrate /G.A. Grade I of the District of domicile or any authority thatmay be specified by the State Government.

4. A bond undertaking to refund to the Haryana Govt. thescholarship availed of by the student subject to the conditions laiddown therein is to be executed (The bond will be signed by theparent who is granted Haryana Govt. Scholarship at the time ofadmission).

5. In case where the Transfer Certificate from a school notrecognized by the educational authorities of the State is produced,a birth certificate from Municipality is required to be submitted asproof of age.

6. The scholarship may be stopped at any time if the studentfails in any class during his stay in school or on account of indisciplineor lack of good conduct. The decision of the Principal in this matteris final and no appeal would be acceptable.

Ministry of Defence Scholarship

The scheme for award of scholarship to the children of JuniorCommissioned Officers and Other Ranks of the Army and theirequivalents of the other two services is as under:-

(a) In case of serving personnel of Defence Services &Ex-servicemen : The amount of scholarship has been determinedon the basis of rank. The admissible scholarship to children ofservice personnel is as under :-(i) Children of NCOs - Full Scholarship

and ORs (Rs. 32,000/- per annum)
