Argos Security Argos uses an

ODBC connection

Same object level security as what you get in Banner

Same table/view access as Microsoft Access

What is a Datablock? Foundation from which ALL reports

are created

A datablock contains queries from a database to pull specific data for report writing

Report Types

CSV: can be exported and opened in Excel

Banded report: Designed to allow users to use graphics, text, charts, etc

Quick View: Displays data on the screen (same as the Datablock)

Running a Report End of Term Academic Standing Select a Term Select ASTD Code Click “Next” Create & Launch or Save to File File will save as a .CSV

Create your own Report You can create your own report from

an existing DataBlock Comma Delimited (CSV)

-Customize the columns, order, column names

Banded Report-Lists, Tabular, Forms, Mailing

Labels-Add graphics

Create your own Report Exercise

Dean’s List by Campus and Term Click and Highlight the Datablock Click “New Report” Add the name and select Comma

Delimited (CSV) Click “Create” Click “Design” to decide what fields

you want to include in your report Click “OK” and then run your report

Check the COOP Site Click on the COOP

Site button to review hundreds of already created datablocks and reports
