Nuestro camino cuaresmal acaba esta
semana. En estos días, conmemoramos
el misterio pascual: el sufrimiento, muer-
te y resurrección de Jesús.
El Martes Santo, habrá Misa (6:00
p.m.). Después de la Misa voy estar en
el confesionario para celebrar el Sacra-
mento de Reconciliación hasta a las 8
p.m. Esta será la última oportunidad
para confesarse antes de la Pascua.
Después de la Misa (6:00 p.m.) el miér-
coles, conmemoramos la Seder (cena),
lo que es conmemoración Judea de la
pascua (la liberación de los Israelitas de
esclavitud en Egipto).
El Jueves Santo, celebramos la Misa de
la Cena del Señor a las 7:00 p.m. Esta
misa conmemora el servicio de Je-
sús. Esta misa nos llama al servicio,
para lavar los pies de uno al otro. Tam-
bién, hacemos la comisión de los minis-
tros litúrgicos nuevos (Monaguillos, Hos-
pitalidad, Lectores y la Sagrada Comu-
nión). Después de la última cena, Jesús
fue a Getsemaní para rezar. En la mis-
ma manera, la Iglesia acompaña a Jesús
en oración en su presencia eucarísti-
ca. La oración continuará hasta 11:30
p.m. Observamos oración en silencio
hasta a las 10:00 p.m. A las 10:30
p.m., ofrecemos la oración de Getsema-
ní.
El Viernes Santo conmemoramos la Pa-
sión y muerte del Señor. A las 5:00
p.m., habrá el Vía Crucis en Vivo. A las
7 p.m., habrá el servicio de la Pasión del
Señor (en inglés).
El Sábado de Gloria culmina el Triduo
Pascual y la Cuaresma. En esta Misa, a
las 8:00 p.m., celebramos que por la
resurrección, Cristo ha vencido la muer-
te y el pecado. Celebramos los Sacra-
mentos de Bautismo, Confirmación y
Eucaristía de los adultos, jóvenes y ni-
ños. Todos nosotros renovamos nues-
tras promesas bautismales y somos re-
novados por las aguas de la vida eter-
na. Son invitados a un banquete de
pascua para celebrar los nuevos Católi-
cos después de la misa.
Entremos en el misterio del sufrimiento,
muerte y resurrección de Jesús esta se-
mana. Hagan algo diferente, cambien la
rutina, estén presentes en las liturgias
de la Semana Santa.

Dear Parishioners,
Our Lenten Journey comes to a close this
week. In these final days we commemo-
rate the paschal mystery, the suffering,
death, and resurrection of Jesus.
On Holy Tuesday, we will have Mass at 6
p.m. After Mass, I will be present for the
Sacrament of Reconciliation until 8
p.m. This will be the last opportunity for
confession before Easter.
After the 6:00 p.m. Mass on Wednesday,
we will commemorate the Seder (supper)
that is the Jewish commemoration of the
Passover (their liberation from slavery in
Egypt).
On Holy Thursday, we will celebrate the
Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7:00
p.m. Like Jesus, we are called to service,
to wash the feet of one another. At this
Mass, we will also commission our new
liturgical ministers (Servers, Hospitality,
Lectors, and Holy Communion). Follow-
ing the last supper, Jesus went to the
garden of Gethsemane to pray. The tra-
dition of the Church is to be in prayer in
the presence of the body of Christ. Our
prayer will continue until 11:30 p.m. We
will have silent prayer and devotions until
10:00 p.m. At 10:30 p.m., we will offer
the prayer of Gethsemane (in Spanish).
On Good Friday, we commemorate the
Passion and death of the Lord. The Liv-
ing Stations (Spanish) will be at 5:00
p.m. We will commemorate the Passion
of the Lord at 7:00 p.m.
Holy Saturday is the culmination of the
Triduum and Lent. At this Mass, begin-
ning at 8:00 p.m., we celebrate that
death and sin are conquered by the res-
urrection of Christ. We celebrate the
Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation,
and Eucharist with adults, teens, and
children. All of us renew our own baptis-
mal promises and are renewed by the
waters of eternal life. You are invited to
an Easter banquet celebrating the newly
baptized, confirmed, and first Communi-
cants after the Mass.
May we enter into the mystery of the life,
death, and resurrection of Jesus this
week. Do something different, change
the routine, and be present at the litur-
gies of Holy Week.

It is my pleasure to announce the Dedication of the Angel Project- the Memorial Tr ibute to Sr. Mary Ann Schumann- will take place on Wednesday evening, April 19th, 2017 at 7pm
in the Divine Mercy Adoration Chapel at 3356 W. 30th Street, Indianapolis, IN, 46228. This sacred art was com-missioned to be painted in memorial to Sr. Mary Ann Schumann, and her contributions to the perpetual adora-tion chapels in the archdiocese of Indianapolis.
Fr. Ben Okonkwo, St. Vincent Hospital Chaplain, will be the main celebrant, and we will be honoring Monsignor Schaedel as well.
I look forward to seeing many of you Wednesday April 19th at 7pm. No RSVP is necessary.

FAITH FORMATION/FORMACION DE FE
Families, May the blessing of Jesus Christ be with you during this Holy Week.
There will be no classes Palm Sunday and Easter Sun-day. Enjoy the days of celebration with your family. Classes will resume Sunday April 23. Please be sure your child returns for the last few weeks of classes for final preparation and information. Class attendance is taken into consideration for students’ readiness for sacraments.
We will begin handing out information for next year reg-istrations the end of May. Early registration is encouraged. Classes fill up quickly.
We will be looking for more adults to be catechists to of-fer larger class sizes. Please contact Teresa in the Office of Faith Formation if interested to be a catechist. We will be having catechist training during the summer.

First Eucharist Congratulation to the students who are in final prepa-ration to receive the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time in May. A list is posted on the bulletin board outside of the Faith Formation Office.
This is a reminder of the Retreat and Practice on April 29 10:00am—2:00pm. Please ar r ive around 9:30 to check in. Parents are expected to attend with their child. Please be sure we have a copy of the bap-tismal certificate by April, 18th.

No habrá clases Domingo de Ramos y Domingo de Pas-cua. Disfrute estos días de celebración con su familia. Las clases se re-abrirán el domingo 23 de abril. Aseg-úrese de que su hijo regrese para las últimas semanas de clases para la preparación final y la información. La asis-tencia a clase se toma en consideración para la prepara-ción de los estudiantes para los sacramentos.
Comenzaremos a dar información para las inscripciones del próximo año a fines de mayo. Se recomienda que se registen temprano. Porque las clases se llenan rápidamente.
Estaremos buscando más adultos para ser catequistas pa-ra ofrecer las clase más grandes. Por favor contacte a Te-resa en la Oficina de Formación de la Fe si le interesa ser catequista. Vamos a tener entrenamiento de catequistas durante el verano.

Este es un recordatorio del Retiro y Práctica del 29 de abril 10: 00am-2: 00pm. Por favor llegue alrededor de las 9:30 para registrarse. Esperamos que los padres asistan con sus hijos. Por favor, asegúrese de que tenga-mos una copia del certificado de bautismo no mas tarde del 18 de Abril.
