Changing Lives for the BetterA gift through your estate plan makes a lasting difference at Clark College. Upon making a commitment to the future of the college, you are welcomed into the Roy G. Andersen Visionary Society.

Roy G. Andersen Visionary Society

Roy Andersen lived in Vancouver his entire adult life and accumulated great wealth by investing in the employees at his company and in property. He was impressed with Clark College’s high-qual-ity education and skilled training that prepared students for the workforce. As a business leader, he felt a responsibility toward the community. His investment forever changed the landscape of the college and Clark College Foundation. Students realize prosperity in their work and family lives and more career opportunities because of Mr. Andersen’s vision.

Largest Gift in Clark’s HistoryMr. Andersen provided $28.8 million through his will to Clark College Foundation. Interest from his endowment provides continuous financial support allowing the college and foundation to meet their strategic goals. It also affords modern resources for students including enhancements in skilled trade programs and scholarships.

Mr. Andersen and the foundation worked together to ensure that the gift accomplished his prima-ry goals of supporting the greatest needs of the college. His legacy delivers sustainable, long-term benefits that touch the lives of every student.

Legacies Share VisionThe Roy G. Anderson Visionary Society recog-nizes alumni, friends and partners who, like Mr. Andersen, make a provision in their estate plan for the college. These legacies share the vision for a prosperous community through education, training and opportunity at Clark College.

Your gift offers students and alumni like Irvin Ortega ’15 (top, left) and Sunshine Hill ’17 (bottom) opportunities to enrich their lives.
