Henry LiddiardGraduate Surveyor

The team is great and there’s good support from the national business for career progression. When I’m confused about an assignment or job role, there is

plenty of support from office staff and other surveyors.

Robert GibbonsCommercial Surveyor Commercial (Royal Agricultural University)

My role in Carter Jonas is a varied and exciting one presenting new opportunities at every turn. Sitting in the Commercial Agency team means that I am able to involve myself in all manners of property from agency, valuation, and development appraisals to conducting site visits and client meetings. I generally assist an enthusiastic team who are passionate about what they do which combines to make for an engaging and exciting role which I hope to continue into the future.

Anna GaddGraduate Planner Planning & Development (Leeds then Kingston)

I did a Masters in Planning & Sustainability and since then have been to RTPI conferences and many Continuous Professional Development events. You never stop learning here.

Start to consider critical analysis project and discuss with supervisor and counsellor

Charlie Gibson Negotiator Residential (Royal Agricultural University)

In Mayfair, the firm has a great reputation and lots of retained clients because we go that extra mile. I’m constantly meeting influential people from the financial markets who give a great insight into how those markets impact the property market which is fascinating. The firm is more personable than corporate, which suited me. • APC graduate away day

I am approaching my one year anniversary as a graduate surveyor at Carter Jonas. Besides, the level of support from your manager, assigned APC councillor and supervisor has surely helped graduates learn and achieve competencies. So far, I have been through two rotations in the Compulsory Purchase team and the London Development team and about to start my third one in the Public Sector team this September.

Kimmy AuCommercial surveyor Commercial(University of Westminster)

• APC graduate away day AUTUMN

• Day 1 - opportunity to meet all new graduates, business skills and core competency training, mock interviews and team building

It is important to feel that you have the support of those around you yet the freedom to learn for yourself as well, I think this balance is hit at Carter Jonas! I have been given the opportunity to work across all teams in the 9 months I have worked here getting involved in Industrial Agency work to Investment appraisals. This has given me a much wider breadth of knowledge than many of my peers.

Jack Bygott Commercial surveyor Commercial(University of Reading)

Lewis Ali Graduate SurveyorCommercial (Nottingham Trent University)

Carter Jonas is a highly reputable property company which proved to be the perfect next step for my career. I have been provided with strong support and great opportunities in the rapidly growing Building Surveying team. I have been given great projects to work on whilst continuing my APC traininag and look forward to the future with Carter Jonas.

Anna GaddGraduate Planner Planning & Development (Leeds then Kingston)

I chose Carter Jonas because it has a good reputation. It’s a great time to be here given the direction it’s going in. Planning law and policy is constantly changing so I’m always having to keep up to date which makes it so interesting, and the team and projects I’m working on are great too.

Sebastian DenbyGraduate Surveyor Commercial (Nottingham Trent University)

I really like the amount of responsibility that I have been given, provided that I have only just joined the company. I’m in charge of marketing, arranging viewings and disposing of my own properties, and will eventually be dealing with my own clients. There is so much expertise in the Cambridge office. I never feel worried about asking any questions if I’m stuck. Unlike larger corporate companies, there are fewer steps between myself and the Head of Commercial for the region which means I get more exposure to really learn.

Gillian WilsherGraduate Surveyor Rural (Harper Adams)

Carter Jonas offered a very diverse range of work within a very friendly team environment. I assist in the day to day management of rural estates and a range of professional work including sales, landlord & tenant, and valuations. For me, the variation of my role is what makes it: every day is different.
