Automatic Pressure/Load ControlThe HP6A control was specifically designed to correctly maintain honingstone to cylinder wall pressure/load for diamond finishing. Diamondstones are capable of exerting excessive load which results in poorfinish and geometry. The HP6A control automatically senses andcontrols load to assure light loads during finishing for accurate geometry.

Correct Hone HeadDiamond abrasives do not break down like vitrified stones and requirevery precise, heavy duty, rigid hone heads. The Rottler Precision HoneHead was designed and is manufactured to exact tolerances. Eachstone holder set is designed to operate within a 5/16" (8mm) range, which is the recommended diameter range of a diamond stone set.

The process has been developed and proven after years of in-houseand in-field experience. Rottler now leads the industry with moreinstallations of diamond honing systems for engine cylinder finishingthan any other company worldwide.

Cylinder Honing Technology

The Rottler cylinder hone employs the latest technologyavailable for today’s engine builder. The innovative controlpanel makes honing easier and more accurate than everbefore. Rottler Manufacturing continues a lasting tradition ofintroducing state of the art machine shop equipment to theengine builder. Quality, service, and technical support is builtinto every Rottler machine.

The bottom line is greater control and efficiency withincreased profits for today’s machine shop.

Digital DisplayThe newest concept for cylinder finishing. The convenient, easyto read digital bore profile display allows you to visualize thegeometry of the bore while honing.

Simple Stroke SettingThe HP6A has simple stroke length setting features. The lower stop can be adjusted while the machine is in operation to maximize stroking for blind hole honing.

Two Stage Auto CycleThe HP6A features a programmable roughing and finish cycle. This gives you greater control, allowing you to aggressivelyremove material in the roughing cycle. Then switching to thefinish cycle with a lighter stone pressure to finish the cylinderautomatically.

Fast SetupBoth versatility and large capacity cometogether with the standard combinationfixture. Securing blocks as well as singlecylinders has never been easier.

Filtration SystemWith increased coolant capacity to 50gallons and a strong magnetic filter system, the coolant stays cleaner and cooler. Anoptional coolant tank is available for a totalof 100 gallons. Performance builders canuse the optional two stage micron filtersystem to remove all contaminants fromthe honing fluid.

Rugged Design,Solid ConstructionLarger, heavy duty base increases thecapacity of the machine and ensures alifetime of rigidity and accuracy.

Profits for the Machine ShopTurn difficult jobs into dollars with Rottler’s new HP6A.Whether removing material or finishing the cylinder, theHP6A makes money fast.

Superior ControlDwell anywhere in the cylinder to work out tight spots. Any positionfrom top to bottom can be worked without raising or lowering theworkpiece.

Automatic Plateau Finish CycleThe HP6A computer has a program specifically for Plateau Finishingof cylinders. By counting the number of strokes with a light stonepressure, this automatic cycle guarantees the same exact finishhole after hole, block after block.

Only automotive cylinderhoning machine on themarket with AutomaticPressure Control!

Water Based CoolantWater based coolant can be used with Rottlerdiamond honing stones, greatly reducing heatbuild up in the block during honing. Cost issubstantially reduced over honing oils and blockcleaning is almost eliminated. Disposal of usedcoolant is simplified as the water can beevaporated leaving only minimal condensedsludge for disposal – environmentally friendly.

A must for diamond cylinder honing. Allows for faster honing withoutbore distortion. Program the desired roughing and finishing loadsand walk away! Without automatic pressure control machine willcontinue to build pressure on cylinder walls when honing withdiamonds causing bore distortion. The Rottler system controls stonepressure on cylinder walls thus reducing bore distortion anddecreasing honing time.
