Rosetta Stone Setup

After your login has been emailed to you, you can access the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Rosetta Classroom at www.emsisd.com/rosetta. There are also links on some of the school websites.

Login and click First Time User- Watch the first video on Dynamic Immersion

After the first video, you will need to complete the Check System Readiness.

You may need to update your Adobe Flash player. To do this, download at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

After the Flash player has been installed, you will need to install the Speech Installer. Click on the link that they provide in the Check for Readiness Window and run the installer.

After you have completed the speech installer run the Check My System Again. If no red X’s appear to the right, you can exit from the screen by clicking Home on the left navigation menu.

You are now ready to Launch Rosetta Stone

After launching Rosetta Stone, you will be asked a few questions to assist in Speech recognition.

Choose the level at which you would like to begin the study.(If you have had previous experience with the language, there are tests which can be administered to identify the correct level. Please contact Lisa Simmons if you need access to these tests.)

Next, it will ask you to Download the Update.

You will click on the first lesson in the group to begin. Rosetta will track and save your progress as you move through the lessons.

The first time you click into a lesson a Microphone Selection window will appear. Check that the appropriate microphone is chosen. If you do not see your microphone, click Refresh List.

You will then need to speak into the microphone normally and not too fast or slow.

You are now ready to begin the lessons. Remember, when you are matching information click inside the correct box.
