Qualifications: MBA (Business Management), University of Eastern Africa Baraton: Bachelor of Education Bed Hons; (Economics/Business) Kenyatta University: Holds several short & medium term professional training certificates in the field of Enterprise Development from Internationally recognized Development training Institutions in Europe and United States of America. Experience in Micro Finance Development: Rose has 14 years of hands on experience in managing microfinance business – micro credit, savings and micro insurance and 10 years in consulting with NGOs, Donor institutions, microfinance institutions, SACCOs and other financial institutions in the key areas of: design, implementation and management credit programs including housing; market research and product development; pilot testing and evaluation of both financial products and institutions; operating systems for MFIs and SACCOs; strategic business planning both short and medium term and training of operational, management and boards of FSPs. This has given her an opportunity to experiment with different BDS implementation approaches. Specifically she has provided technical services in the commercialization of smallholder horticultural farmer groups through market linkage to formal markets; she has been the team leader in coordinating and managing of different fruit and vegetable value chains. Through her company, Business Renewal Consult – Rose has been contracted by: Fintrac Inc., IFAD AFRACA, FARM AFRICA to design and provide capacity building and technical services to their partner staff, managers and board members in BDS and financial education both in Kenya and Tanzania. Experience in Social Performance Management: Rose is one of AMFI SPM consultant under a mentorship program by a senior consultant from Smart Campaign. The consultant supported the implementation of SPM in 7 MFIs in Kenya with particular emphasis on the client protection principles and financial education. Oversee the leadership and management of the Africa Regional Chapter of INAFI Global Network of over 48 micro finance institutions spread over 24 countries within the continent.
