COURSE DESCRIPTION :This course presents an understanding of the necessity for controls in Room Division and of the requirement to supervise the

operations of a hotel Front Office and Housekeeping

CREDIT

:3 Units (3 hours lecture/week)

PRE-REQUISITE

:Housekeeping Operations and Front Office Operations

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

A. Cognitive

:1. To understand the management system and control of Rooms Division

2. Describe and explain how to apply control mechanisms within the Front Office so as to present loss of hotel assets.

B. Affective

:1. To recognize functions in housekeeping laundry operations.

2. To appreciate the work of the night auditor.

C. Psychomotor:1. To implement occupational health, safety and welfare practices and procedures within the room division and describe for

detection and evacuation procedure.

2. Prescribe security measure commonly applied in hotels so as to ensure security for guest, staff and property.
