ROOF SLAB - PREREQUISITE FOR SUPERSHIELD WATERPROOFING TREATMENT
l The ROOF SLAB that is to be treated should be minimum 7 days old.
l The pipe penetrations through the horizontal brick walls should be packed and plastered to a
minimum thickness of 25 mm with the ratio of 1:3 cement mortar.
l The side walls that are of non-concrete should be plastered to a minimum thickness of 25 mm with the ratio
of 1:3 cement mortar to a height of minimum 6" above the gradient level.
SUPERSHIELD SPECIFICATION AND APPLICATION METHODOLOGY
Provide, mix and brush apply two coats of SUPERSHIELD CRYSTALGUARD, single compound Deep Penetrating
Capillary (DPC) waterproofing system that generates a non-soluble crystalline formation of dendritic fibers within
the pores and capillary tracts of the concrete @ 1.5 Kg/m² for two coats on the roof slab and the adjacent curb wall
that are of concrete to the height of 6" above the filling level.
Provide, mix and brush apply two coats of SUPERSHIELD FLEXI, two component material that forms seamless
flexible membrane @ 1 .2 Kg/m² on the side walls to height of 6" above the filling level. The coating should
overlap a minimum 1” over the crystalline coating at the junction.
