Hiring Manager (HM) must identify a Helping Hand immediately after the offer
The HM will access the New Employee Checklist in a link provided by Recruitment
The HM/Helping Hand will follow the New Employee Checklist
*HM can have Helping Hand contact Recruitment for a quick orientation
Can customize for department
The HM/ Helping Hand will read through the New Employee Systems Information *Contact Alyssa Heu, Administrative
Secretary at (858) 499-4474

-Contacts new hire after the offer is made to introduce themselves
-Read through the New Employee Checklist and follow tasks and timelines as appropriate
-Introduce them to new team members on their first day/week
Helping Hand NotesFOR THE NEW TEAM MEMBER
-Gradually introduce new information as the new team member is ready.
-Think of a fun way to introduce them to the team especially if department is telecommuting
-If they seem ready, involve them in team projects/committees.
-”Share” instead of giving “Advice”. For example: “I try not to rely on just emails here at Sharp and call other departments as I work through issues.”
