Students “Working Together” At Roebuck Primary School the development of life long leadership skills is one of the learning opportunities offered to all students from Year 4-6. Having effective student leaders supports the development of responsible behaviours, a positive school tone and encourages students to model the school values. Positive student leadership opportunities and experiences will facilitate the

transition to secondary school and the world beyond. Student leadership is driven by service to others and is embedded in our school motto: “Working Together”.

The senior students are our student role models. We acknowledge the gifts and talents which they bring to our school community. They work hard and are successful in making our school a welcoming, friendly, and an inclusive

community in which all students feel safe and are happy to learn and play.

Whimbrel 5 Assembly

On Friday morning it was our Whimbrel 5 class assembly. First we sang Advance Australia Fair. Then we talked about our inventions. Our inventions help people for the future. After that we sang a song called “Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines”. We also danced. Next we handed out the merit certificates. Finally we danced and sang to the community song. We felt happy and proud of ourselves.

On Friday the 19th of June Whimbrel 5 performed their assembly item. All the students in whimbrel 5 had to think of inventions to present to the school. It was really cool to see all the different types of inventions they had thought of.

Awesome job Whimbrel 5!!
