Don’t my taxes already pay for my child’s education?

Tax dollars alone do not provide adequate funding to pay for the essential enrichment programs and small class sizes that we all want for our kids, and that differentiate RAFOS from other schools. An annual giving campaign is a once a year fundraising event that helps fill in budget gaps and grow what we want for our kids. In addition to asking school families to participate in this campaign, it is important to ask households without children in the district to consider contributing to the campaign since public schools offer services to residents such as hosting non-education community events, employing area residents, and positively impacting local housing markets and real estate, thus benefiting all homeowners. To read more about our very successful neighboring district and their Foundation’s work please see here: http://www.eurekaschoolsfoundation.org/annual-giving-campaign To learn more we invite you to attend one of the Fundraising Committee’s meetings or contact the Chair, Jennifer Salib at [email protected] or Vice Chair, Kim Dvorak at [email protected] with your thoughts and suggestions. Meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. the first Monday of the month at Western Sierra Collegiate Academy in the Administration Offices.

PSP NEWS AND EVENTS Don't forget that attending a PSP meeting counts towards your Volunteer hours! Be sure to bring your PSP membership cards to earn double hours! See you soon! RA Turnstone PSP PSP Meeting – Room 6, no childcare available
