Nominated and hand selected by Senior Army Leaders to be the first Satellite Communicator assigned to this unit. Managed the technical assistance center within the Army’s newest Special Missions Unit. Consisted of 377 soldiers, civilians,

and contractors with the mission of mitigating asymmetric threats. Providing Help Desk support to all assigned users. Provided daily automation support to Headquarters, four squadrons, and various advisory teams around the world. Resolved over

4000 customer support trouble tickets through remedy. Managed the lifecycle project of replacing over 700 computers and laptops both stateside and around the world. Conducted site surveys and developed purchase and acquisition estimates. Completed all required installation documentation.

Served as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Managed a 24-hour assistance center consisting of secure voice, video, and data communications and information technology

enterprise to globally deployed personnel via IP services on NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS. Maintained accountability of over $23,000,000 of Information Technology equipment at multiple locations around the world. Sought out by command leadership as the communications planner (SME) for guidance on unit’s communications procedures and

policies. Created all communication’s operating procedures and user pocket guide for individual assigned equipment. Integrated the unit’s satellite reach back capability using .9 and 1.5 meter satellite systems purchased through vendors after an

extensive research and assessment process, in which recommendations to higher was reviewed and approved. Responsible for pulling, splicing, suspension, termination and testing of CAT-5e cable installation along with associated

communication devices and systems (CISCO routers and switches) in over 10 separate Forward Operating Bases or locations throughout Iraq and Afghanistan as well as 3 Liaison offices in Hawaii, Germany, and Qatar.

Coordinated materials and tool requisition for networking and projects, most of the installations were built from the ground up with no prior infrastructure present.

Led, mentored, trained 45 Soldiers in the daily operations and maintenance of two MILSTAR terminals, two Single Channel Transponder Injection Subsystems and all associated Teat Measurement and Diagnostic equipment valued in excess of $125 million dollars.

Coordinated and provided support for critical command and control communications to USSTRATCOM and the Pentagon. Responsible for operating and maintaining three AN/GSC-52 DSCS satellite earth terminals and all associated sub-systems.

Commended by the U.S. Army Signal Corps Commanding General for input and additions to the military occupation specialty critical skills task selection board. Single handedly wrote and revised over 70 tasks that are, to this day, used as training

guidelines for the 25S training manual. Worked as the Operations NCOIC for this Earth Terminal Complex, comprised of 3 Heavy earth terminals, four spread spectrum

ECCM systems, two MILSTAR terminals, three DSCS FDMA control subsystems, two Promina nodes, one MIDAS virtual patching system, one Switch Multiplexing Unit, one Timeplex Node, and all associated test and diagnostic equipment.

Issued out all received satellite access requests and gateway access requests for support missions coming in and out of the site. Very familiar with the DISA requirements/publications and met all inspection criteria without incident. Worked closely with DSCS satellite controllers to ensure all terminal uplinks and downlinks were properly calibrated and met

power requirements on the satellite both prior to, during and after mission completion.

U.S Army – Fort Huachuca, AZ Feb 2000-Dec 2001Tactical Satellite Systems Team Chief

Served in a rapid deployment signal company; supervised, installed, operated, and maintained multichannel satellite communication ground terminals, systems, networks, and associated equipment.

Responsible for the health, welfare, and career development of 15 soldiers. Equipment operated was an AN/TSC-93C and an AN/TSC-85C satellite system with assemblages, three tactical vehicles, and two

generators valued at over $2,000,000. Maintained a critical tactical satellite link in Camp Doha, Kuwait with no down time. Selected and assisted the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) in the field testing of the Secure Mobile Anti-Jam Reliable
