(For students in Pre-kindergarten and Grades K-12)

Summer school bus service is provided on a limited basis via a “cluster” approach rather than the ‘door-to-door” approach used during the regular school year. Rural students may ride on one of four predetermined rural routes and board the bus at any safe pick-up points along the route. Route #1 serves the Pickett area. Route #2 serves Arcade Acres and the area north of Highway 23 West and west of “FF”. Route #3 serves the southern part of the school district, the area south of Highway 23 East and South of “E”. Parents are encouraged to wait at the site with their children in the morning until the bus arrives and to be at the site when the bus returns after summer school. Parents and students are informed that summer school bus service is a privilege. Students will be denied bus service if they are not behaving in an appropriate manner. If you wish to use this service, complete the Summer School Transportation Request Form that is part of this booklet and return it with your summer school registration. You will be notified of the bus number and approximate pick-up and drop-off times before the start of summer school. IN-CITY BUSING (For students in Pre-kindergarten and Grades K-5)

City students attending summer school classes may be picked-up at the Hall/Spaulding shelter, Murray Park School, the Ceresco Park shelter, or Barlow Park School. These sites are supervised. At the end of the second class period students may ride the bus to any of the sites used as a pick-up point. (Students enrolled in the 12:15 p.m. session only of swimming lessons may be dropped off at the high school.)
