The board of directors is seeking an educational leader who can support the work of teachers, embrace the culture of the district and the community, and sustain the educational and business partnerships which have been developed. There are three schools, K-5 elementary, 6-8 Jr. High, 9-12 H.S., on two campuses within walking distance of one another. Dayton enjoys a diverse student population with Hispanics as the second largest ethnic group at 33%. The District is in a strong financial position with a 10% ending fund balance, steady ADM growth, and previous support by the community in capital bond levies. Maintenance and repairs have been accomplished through judicious spending and QZAB funds. Dayton School District also enjoys the support of the Dayton Education Foundation. The district is deeply immersed in the "Innovate Dayton" project. The district is familiar and comfortable with change and has embraced the concept of having a "growth mindset". COMPENSATION

The Board is interested insomeone who is willing to committo the district for a number ofyears. The Board will consider amulti-year contract with salary from$115,000 to $125,000. Salary andbenefits will be commensuratewith other similar-sized districts,and will be based on thecandidate's experience andabilities.
